First time there stayed for 2weeksand really love this place the gate attendants were top notch and helped outin every way possible will definitely be back to stay again. JRAY

Camped in site 89 on March 23-26, 2023. Asphalt where camper was parked was very uneven with the picnic area. The first night we were there, a friend who was camping at the site next to us, tripped and fell while she was visiting our site. She experienced multiple abrasions. Two nights later, on March 25, I fell off the uneven asphalt, a 10-12 drop, severely breaking my ankle and had to be transported by ambulance to hospital. The site should have been maintained better to say the least. I am recovering from surgery.

Only one dump station has a nozzle on it (and not your typical nozzle, unless I just don't know any better). Other than that, great campground with majority of lots being waterfront or at least water view!! :)

As always, clean and roomy. We always take. Site on the lake so we had a wonderful view. Always a joy to be 18 miles away from 285 and feel like you are light-years away!

Eighteen miles from Metro Atlanta and Marietta but a world away. We come here for brief breaks from the mayhem. Always clean and well kept.

This is one of the best campgrounds for variety of sites, privacy and scenery. My only issue is not having sewer hookups so you can comfortably stay for longer periods of time.

We love McKinney! It has soo many excellent campsites to choose from. The only negative, and its a big one is the dump station layout! Firstly its two, but theyre in line with each other. No way to rigs can dump at the same timenot enough room. Secondly, its on an incline. No way my rear gray tank can emptywater doesnt flow up hill!

We love McKinney! That said we were VERY Disappointed that with all the improvements with the sewer project that they didn’t improve the dump station layout. It’s the WORST I’ve ever experienced, anywhere. Two dump areas but in front of each other versus side by side. That makes it virtually impossible for two large RV’s to dump simultaneously. Furthermore, it’s up a 5% or more grade. This means if you have any tank at the rear of your rig, IT WONT EMPTY…AT ALL! Pathetic for the most highly used COE campground in the entire country! Please redo this dump station!
