EZ check-in, Staff is very helpful. NO maps of campground available (?), except for a laminated copy at the office, so print your own if you want one (or take a pic of theirs on arrival). Most sites are large, relatively level, and offer privacy. Waterfront sites offer great views but access to the water is not a gimme. Electric and water reliable. Dumpsite can get busy at checkout.

Sites have plenty of space. You are not packed in a small area with other campers on each side. Lake view was beautiful! Will definitely recommend to friends.

We stayed 5 nights in site #42, this site was great! Site was pretty leveled only needed a few adjustments, had a good water view on one side and wildlife view on the other side! The place is very nice, beautiful views of the water and wooded areas, very nice, quiet & relaxing! We had excellent cell signal for Cricket Wireless (AT&T). Office staff was very friendly and so were the other campers!

Beautiful campground site, quiet, peaceful.....wonderful stay. The ONLY thing that would have made it perfect was if there could be a resource list available at check in office that could provide names/numbers of local entrepreneur(s) who would provide a mobile "honeywagon service" for a small fee that would collect and dump tank contents on a weekly basis so anyone staying longer than a week would not need to disconnect and dump during the stay. We easily drove to Cartersville, Woodstock, Dalton, Rome for local day trips- a lot to do in this area, but was also lovely doing nothing except enjoying the lake as well.

Very nice campground close to Marietta and Atlanta (30-40 mins.). Large sites, well spaced and quite private. Site 042 lakeside was an easy, level pull through site with a nice path to the lake. No lake access from this site but a nice view and very peaceful. Bathhouse was "trashed" by other campers and needed some updating overall, but usable. Flush toilets nearby were acceptable but long, steep, uphill walk to bathhouse (which was cleaned up the next day by staff). Sites 43 through 53 and 27-28 had the best views and lake access. Small gas station on the way in for some supplies, but nearest grocery 5-10 miles away off I-75. Several marinas nearby for boat/pontoon rentals. Would definitely stay again.

We are huge fans of McKinney. We have camped here off and on for 32 years. Our son learned to swim here 28 years ago. We are now camping with his two girls and loving it.
