Site 32 in Nov 2023 was not level and had humps in the pavement which did not work for our camper. The exit was too steep and we scraped the front of the RV on leaving. We called the front gate and they told us to call Recreation.gov if we wanted to change sites. Upon calling I learned we had been checked out early by the gate attendants when we checked in. Recreation.gov was able to switch us to site 31 which was a nice site and said to talk to the gate attendant about a refund for site 32. Gate attendant said theyre didnt check us out and one-night fee could not be refunded because we have already checked out. We chose to pick our battles and moved on, but this was disappointing. Site 31 was wonderful and Nov was a great time to visit as the campground wasnt full.

Love camping at Mckinney campground, But it's just getting so hard to get reservations there. The people at the front gate are so nice . There was know one at the front office when we left sunday morning, We were going to tell them site # 31 had a leak in the ground for the water. Don't like having to check out by 11am, Don't even have time for breakfast before you leave.
