Place is so grown up with brush and needs cleaned up in a bad way.

This was the first at Lake Moomaw. I booked site 56. Site was level and spacious. Access to the lake was via a short path behind the site. The camp store was open. The staff there were very nice and welcoming. WiFi is available at the store

Take toilet paper. There is no camp house in campground 2. Was out of paper from Tuesday till midday Wednesday.

All was great except the aftermath of White Pine sap on the vehicles. Cutting White Pines from overshadowing the camping sites would make the site much more pleasurable.

When I called to make the reservation, I reserved 2 camp site as we were traveling with other family members. One of the reservations was cancelled at the last minute. When I called I was told they have some first come first serve slots available. One site was without electric and water and was not even in the same campground as other family member. When I tried to get a refund, the refund request was denied. As it turned out there was a campsite right beside other family member that was not used where we could have easily been placed but the camp hosted was not able to let us use the site.It was a nice place to visit but very disappointed in the reservation process.
