Plenty of good sites to pick from, but several were still in need of repair. Chose a different one next to the one we reserved online beside the creek. Plenty of wood and space. Bathrooms clean and convenient.Hosts were helpful, friendly & available, but mostly left us to ourselves. Only a few other campers since mid-week stay. Used location as a central base to hike AT up Mt Rogers one day and drive to Damascus to ride Creeper Trail another day.

The campground is very well maintained and is beautiful located along a stream. Bathrooms are well kept and an added bonus after a day hiking. The camp hosts are super nice. I camped at site 1 and there isnt a bad site in this campground. I really would love to go back and camp at site 4 or 5 which are located more in the woods. BUT there were closed due to a storm.

Very private campground hosted by wonderful people, beautiful creek running through the property, hiking trails need a lot of love, still damaged from the storm- overall a quiet place to seek refuge!

This was a good campground. Our site, 14, was spacious and well kept. The campground was clean, the restroom was generally clean, and it was stocked with tp, handsoap, and towels. The hot water, however, was, in my opinion, way too hot. (But the campground had hot water, which was a big plus.) We plan to return to Hurricane next year, maybe some of the sites by the creek, currently closed for repairs, will be open.

A beautiful little campground manned by pleasant and helpful camp hosts. Wish the trail had been clear enough for us to complete the hiking loop in the campground.

Great campground. I stayed at site #5, quiet and backs up to creek. Visitor center is a short ride north on Hwy. 16,definitely recommend going there to get brochures and trail maps. Must-see Whitetop Mtn.

Great quiet location, well kept facilities. Hosts Phil and Carol are the best!

Beautiful campground and large, scenic sites. Be prepared for rain theres a reason its so lush. The showers could use a deep clean, but its functional and the toilets are clean.

This is an amazing campground!! We stayed right on the creek and it was perfect.The showers need some MAJOR deep cleaning!!!

This place is pretty remote from anything. It was 30+ minutes driving to cell coverage. It is also very quiet. We were there 4th of July weekend and only ~75% of sites were occupied. The the first few sites along the river (including #5 where we stayed) have lovely tent sites in the forest next to the river. Many of the next sites along the road are probably better for RVs. The very end of the road is up on the hill away from the river, but there are awesome tent sites in the woods. There's no convenient firewood source, so recommend brining your own. We had to drive ~30 minutes round trip to town to get low quality over-priced gas station bundles of firewood.

The bathrooms were very nasty. The vault toilet ran out of toilet paper. The showers were nasty, also. Never saw the host but once. I love this campground, and its usually not this nasty.

I really loved how spaced out the sites were. Very quiet at night. My site was very nice and scenic as well.

I love this campground. Very family friendly. Campsites are generously spaced and bath facilities clean. The campground feels very remote largely due to the total lack of phone and internet service.

Such a great time! The sites are secluded, the creek is beautiful, the shower is hot - everything you need for a great camping experience. We will definitely return again.

Hurricane Campground is such a beautiful campground. It's quite the hidden gem. You are nestled in a valley bounded by one stream constantly flowing and the other, sometimes. Trees/forests are magnificent. Opportunities for hiking are unlimited. They have flush toilets and showers that I believe you pay to shower. The bathrooms are heated. The vault toilets are also the cleanest and nicest smelling I've experienced. There's also potable water spigots spaced around the campground.Diane, the camp host works very hard to keep the place nice. It's on my return list.

We had an amazing weekend at Hurricane Campground. We had the camping spots by the meadow which is perfect for a big family that does lots of activites. The weather was perfect, the other campers were friendly and the host did everything she could to make our stay the best it could be. We had a unanimous vote that we're going back there to stay!! :) When the info says no phone service, it means NO phone service!

Quiet campground with well-spaced sites. Direct hiking access to Appalachian Trail from campground. Bathrooms are old but serviceable. Best sites are along the creek or at the end of the loop. Highly recommended!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
