A wonderful location for getting out in nature and being able to share it with others.

The site is right off the road so you are clearly visible to every car that passes. The gate is small so large campers wont fit. There is a restroom but no water, so be sure to pack in what you need.

We were only 7 people, but it was nice to have a large space all to ourselves. I think the site said no working bathrooms, so we were pleasantly surprised to find them open, clean, and stocked with TP :) The large fire pit is great, and the kids had a great time venturing into the woods to find plenty of firewood on the ground. The creek behind the field is lovely, and we all found spots for our hammocks down there. The site was conveniently located between two hikes that we did - Cascade Falls and McKafee's Knob. It was also just a short drive to Blacksburg, where we spent a day hanging out on Virginia Tech's campus. Also an easy place to stock up on ice, groceries, etc.
