Amazing campsite even in the rain!! We stayed here for two nights and it rained the whole time, but we still loved it! It can be a challenge to get in. The website directions have you coming in from 460 onto 708 for 4.5 miles. That way makes for a really tough left turn onto the access road. We drove out the other way and it was better (just about 2 miles on the gravel and then road, but more hills). We drive a 2022 Toyota Tacoma and pull a Winnebago 1800BH. Our trailer is much higher than most and we didn't scrape or touch anything going across the small creek (it's a dip down and up). Even without a trailer, a high clearance SUV is needed. Once across the creek, it's just a short drive on a wide gravel road to the campsite. The field is huge, the fire pit is huge, two picnic tables, vault toilets, horseshoes pit (bring your own horseshoes), gravel pad, right on the creek, and easy turnaround once in the field area. The field is gated off and you need the access code. It lock was a bit tricky because the letters are wearing off. A new lock is needed. There is no phone/internet, but Star Link works amazing. No water or electricity, so bring your own. It's also pack in pack out. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would love to return.

Boley is a nice, quiet and “close” site that feels more remote than it is. Don’t expect many amenities, but the vault toilets are clean and the fire put huge.

The site is exactly as described, and was left clean by the previous camper. The grounds are mowed to a nice height and the vault toilets are clearly well maintained and spacious. Excellent location. We ran into a ranger when leaving, and she was super helpful and pleasant.

We have been going here for years and have always found it a clean and private.

It would be great if the entrance to Boley field could have a culvert for the stream and graveled over so larger vehicles pulling trailers or campers wouldn’t scrape bottom trying to enter the campground.

This is a great site to meet up with friends and family. The out house is clean and roomy. The field was mowed. The large fire pit is great to gather around and there is a nice grill and picnic tables. We had no trouble gathering downed fire wood. The horse shoe pits are a nice plus as well. Nearby trails and creek are also enjoyable.

There are only a couple of negatives. One is the gate lock is VERY difficult to handle. It is on a short chain up inside the gate and has tiny letters on the combination dials. Anyone arriving after dark would NEVER be able to see well enough to turn the dial and it is difficult for people who are short sighted and need to get close to the lock to see it because you can not get it anywhere near your eyes. I feel lucky that my husband was able to open it, because I could not get close enough to see it. It was difficult for him as well, but he finally managed it with reading glasses. This would be easily fixed.

The other thing to know is that there is an area near the creek where it seems like someone spilled a lot of nails at some point. They are embedded in the mud. It would take someone with a large construction type magnet to clean all that up. So, it's something to watch out for as you approach the creek.

It may be a great camp, but I could not get our camper into it, so we did not get check it out - the turn into the facility was less than 90 degrees, gate too narrow and the dip across a creek was too short for our wheel base
