The lake was beautiful! The Lake of the Woods resort staff was top notch as always! This campground has a lot of chipmunks and raccoons. They will try to get into your food, so definitely keep all the food in locked containers. The raccoons are enormous here; the largest raccoons I've ever seen in my life; They are extremely smart and they know how to open things; They will try to get into everything.Mosquitoes are not usually a big issue here. However, this campground always seems to have a lot of large spiders and flys for some reason. The spiders like to crawl all over your tent at night and there always seems to be a few of them under my tent when I take it down on the last day.The campground has coin operated hot showers; which is awesome so bring a few rolls of quarters. They keep them pretty clean but I recommend bringing a shower curtain liner to put over the ones they have when showering. I also usually bring flip flops for the shower. My son and I saw a bald eagle fishing on the lake during this trip; which was pretty cool. There is a sit-down-restaurant, a food cart, a pizza place, a fishing supply place, a small convenience store and a gas station that is walking distance from the campground. The convenience store has a lot of useful things like ice and propane.Overall one of my favorite lakes and campgrounds in Oregon.

We love these spots at Aspen, they are spacious, close to the lake, close to restroom. The restroom facilities need to be cleaned more often and could also be updated.

Loud people til almost 1am, couldn’t find a host anywhere and bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Bloody toilet paper all over the floor and smelled like sewage.

Great lot. Super close to the lake. Clean and well maintained. Also good distance to bathrooms/showers. Only drawback is it’s a trafficked area, but everyone was respectful of noise and late hours.

We had the perfect vacation at the lake. Spot 37 was great for hauling kayaks to the shoreline and the site was quiet and peaceful
