It was awesome. We keep getting sloppy weather on our visits. The power went out in the middle of the night but we were thankful for the propane furnace.

We enjoyed the total experience, from the comfort of the cabin to the wonder of the surrounding area with skiing and snowshoeing activities. Thanks for making this treasure available to the public.

Great cabin with electricity! Stove works great once you get the pilot light lit again. (Who ever stayed before us turned heat off) Fully stocked kitchen! (we had to do the pile of nasty dirty dished left in the sink by the last renters). Lots of games and puzzles to occupy the time!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It is very clean and well taken care of. It has a nice, quiet and private spot off a good dirt road. Very convenient location for sightseeing.

Well maintained. Clean. Furniture and appliances very nice. Propane heater works fine. Entry way to outhouse very icy -- we used shovel to roughen up for traction. Could have a bucket of sand close by. Also, huge icy overhangs above front porch roof could be dangerous if they break off.

We had a wonderful experience again this year! It's always nice to get away and enjoy the back country with friends and family and reconnect around the table sharing stories, laughter, and board games!! The snowmobiling was great and we even enjoyed some fresh new powder as well as some sunshine??The new stove and microwave were appreciated...hoping a new fridge is in the near future! We love the years of memories here with cherished friends and this next generation of family??

It’s always a blast at the Zips Cabin. The water pump was not frozen outside and worked. I wish it was open in the summer.

It is very hard to beat any time at Zip's Place Cabin. I have been there a couple of times over the years, all were amazing

Great experience. Snowshoed in, melted snow for our coffee water. Clean and cozy. The propane fireplace is the best.

Our visit was nice, but the furniture really needs to be replaced. It seems like the cabin needs a very good cleaning .it was nice to see a new stove ,which made a big difference! The floor really needs to be scrubbed. Despite all of this we will still rent it every year!!, Thanks for asking our experience. The Bauers

Very easy 1.2 mile snowshoe into the cabin. Had a great 24 hr retreat and a fun snowshoe breaking trail back into the woods behind the cabin and seeing elk, rabbit and cat tracks in snow. Very spacious and everything worked well. Kitchen well appointed with pots, pans etc. No complaints other than only having a 1 night reservation!

Such an excellent setting, deep snow, good skiing. The cabin itself was clean, well stocked and warm. Great memories are made here!

Awesome cabin&location. Cool history and respectful guests who have left extras for the next visitors. Seems to have a lot of localism visitors who do a good job leaving the place better than they found it.

Such a peaceful setting! Cabin was nicely stocked and clean. Will definitely go back!

Zip's Place was exactly as advertised. It is comfortable, functional, spacious enough and privately situated for days of peaceful rest or hiking.

Never seen a USFS cabin in such bad shape - no sponges, no hand soap, no paper towels, no hand towels - all of which we've had provided both at Zips and other cabins rented in the past. Previous occupants only did the minimum to clean up as posted on the cabin wall: wipe countertops and sweep/mop floors. There were dirty pans in the kitchen, the microwave was filthy, rugs hadn't been shaken so were filled with dirt and pine needles, the dining table was filthy, the outhouse wasn't swept, etc. A real checklist would help renters do a better job of preparing the cabin for the next who rent it and USFS staff should keep basic cleaning supplies stocked. Very disappointed in the experience.

Second time at Zips Cabin. Nice to finally get into East Glacier. Spring and Fall are just wonderful.
