One of my favorite campgrounds. There are no amenities, but the views make up for it.

big sites! lots of beautiful trees! rustic, quiet, right along the north fork of the Flathead river. no hook ups which is GREAT!! that keeps away the big RVs and the noisy people!! Pam was a wonderful helpful hostess!!! the best!

Always a favorite! Unfortunately, "Dan the Sub" campground host was a very grumpy old man. Threatening notes throughout the campground, accused us of vacating our site for 2 nights ( we were at our site every night!) complaining about not being able to keep track of available sites, turning new campers away saying campground was full, NOT. Sure hope he doesn't get called back next year. Puts a real damper on an amazing place. But as much as he complained I doubt he would want to come back anyway!

We were at Big Creek for 5 days and felt it was such a worthwhile experience. The setting is wonderful and our campsite was perfect for our 30-foot RV. We hope to return to the very same campsite in the near future.

Try to camp next to the river. Campground host was extremely nice. Long gravel (particularly bad) road in to this campground - recommend driving through Glacier National Park - it's faster and then only about 2 miles of the gravel. Very quiet campground in September.
