This is a pretty campground and close enough for us to enjoy Capital Reef NP. We made reservations but when we arrived, there were no indicators at our site that it was reserved (nothing on the post), and we felt lucky that no one else had tried to take our spot. The camp hosts seemed unavailable throughout our stay. Since the only trees in the campground are pines, I wanted to venture out on a walk to where I could see some Aspens in the distance, but there is a fence around the entire campground, making this impossible. There is a short trail (that goes through the fence via a gate) down to a little waterfall, and that was a very nice hike. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, even though we spent most of our time in the park.

A lovely and quite campground with lots of trees. We stayed here instead of Fruita Campground because we wanted more seclusion and trees. Looking back on it, I would have preferred to stay at Fruita Campground for ease of access into Capitol Reef for hiking. Singletree is about 30 minutes away from the park.

Beautiful campground, well maintained, and large sites. They even had flush toilets!

Spaces were far enough removed that we felt alone in the forest. I would go here again and stay longer. Nice hike to the falls.

Nice place to chill. We camped at site 29 in a tent. The camp site is set back a ways from the loop road so it a good spot for us. Didn’t get a chance to explore much bc we headed to Lower Calf Creek Falls for the hike, but we heard and saw pics of the nearby waterfall a short hike following creek that runs through the camping area. We would’ve done it on our way out, but it was pouring as we were packing up, so we had to take a pass. Would camp here again.

This is a very nice campground, be aware that the hike to the waterfall is steep, and should be done with good shoes. The campground is convenient to Capitol Reef.
