Karen was an excellent camp host. She made us feel welcome and was so accommodating to help us find camp sites that would accommodate our family. We had a wonderful time. We look forward to staying again.

We stayed at Mackinaw campground #25 for 9 days. Our host Karen & Clive were very nice and made us aware of the necessities. I had my dog with me and Karen had hers too so we chatted about them for a bit. After setting up the food, tent and firewood, we immediately walked down 100yds to the lake through a quaint little path. It was a bit windy and cold most days for the latter half of May 2021, it did however warm up nicely the last three days and during the evening eclipse. We had a wonderful time, we fished daily from the shore. Three days we rented boats from Bowery Haven resorts marina. 1 was the 15ft. Fishing boat a bit hard to steer while fishing since there weren’t any pole holders. The other two days we rented a Pontoon, what a fabulous time we had trolling for fish, sun bathing, eating lunch for 6hours each day. The two general stores located on either side of the lake closed at 6pm (too early for us) so we had to plan our ice runs and other simple needs accordingly. We did catch a 30in Tiger Muskie 25-30lbs right off the shore, what luck that was, filleted it up and had lunch and dinner for a few days. There wasn’t any phone service, we planned ahead and brought our own Verizon HotSpot for internet service, work out well. We had a wonderful vacation and will return with our own Pontoon next trip!!
