We enjoyed our visit to Bowery Creek, but our site had one small space for a tent and not a lot of space around the fire pit. There were also not other spaces in the campsite for games or anything else. Views of the lake were nice and we enjoyed the scenery.

Campground was great, however a large group of over a hundred plus people took over the campground and ruined our weekend. They broke just about every rule at the campground. The had hoses running from every faucet to their trailers. The washed their dishes at the faucet, brushed their teeth, and bathed there too. The lacked common decency, common sense and common courtesy. We showed up to our camp site at dusk, with four vehicles in our site- my wife said are you sure this is our site, which it was. We had to ask them to move out of our site which took over 10 minute while we were loosing daylight-they didnt seem to care. They were in the process of falling trees and gathering wood-more wood than for camping they were taking it home. I had to cleanup the mess they made with branches from the downed live tree. They used electric chainsaws so they didnt get caught. Since they had taken over the campground they felt they could just park in the middle of the road. We were in site 36 so in order to leave you had to go to the circle turnaround to leave. Every time we went to leave someone was parked in the middle of the road. We witnessed this as several other camper ran into the same problem, We were delayed over two hours, we were trying to leave at noon and didnt get out until after 2:00. One of them parked right in front of our site, we had to ask them to move, and they had the circle turn-a-round blocked up with their vehicles. they way they were supposed to be checked out by noon, but once again they didnt seem to care. Once we finally made it around the turn-a-round and were finally headed out yet another one was blocking the road. In my over 40 years of camping this was my worst camping trip and most frustrating experience ever!

Great campsite! Loved have water in camp and amenities close. About an hour from Capitol Reef so we spent some time there too. Camp hosts are super friendly and accommodating!

The hosts were excellent. The facilities were as described. However, there was a large family that were occupying around 35 of the sites over the holiday weekend who ran their generators longer than posted hours and who also did their cleaning at the water spigots. Wed stay here again.

This camping area is very nice with many trees. The hosts were "over the top" in availability and friendliness. Fishlake is full of fish!!

We had a good time and we liked how close this was to the lake, we were able to drag our kayaks over from the campsite no prob. My qualms were that the fire pit is way down deep in the ground. If you have a compromised back good luck getting a fire going.

The water in the lady's restroom didn't work. It also wasn't clean.

Fish Lake is an awesome adventure. Fishing was poor this year, but motorcycle riding, hiking, biking and eating at Bowery

Pros: the bathrooms are IMMACULATE. Like seriously the cleanest, most nice smelling bathrooms I have ever been to. The proximity to the lake is amazing, just a 5 minute walk and you are right at the beach. If you are bringing a boat, the marina is right across the street. Capitol Reef NP is within a day’s drive if fishing is not your thing.

Cons: not a lot of shade. It got HOT while we were there and the aspens didn’t provide enough shade. Make sure you bring some kind of canopy! We stayed in site 12 and the tent spots were okay but you had to walk through sagebrush to get to them which was a pain.

This group site is beautiful and tables are nice. It will accommodate 5 toy hauler 5th wheels nicely. We didn’t have tents. It is for a small group. No hookups but that is not a problem for 3 days. Restrooms nice and clean. It was great for our family.

What a nice campground! Nestled into the aspen forest, the sites were spacious and nicely laid out. Even had a view of the lake! We stayed one night at a neighboring “resort” rv park - if you don’t require rv hookups, then hands down, the rec.gov Bowery Creek campground is soooooo much nicer by comparison. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful location with convenient amenities and we’ll maintained. But the tent site #9 doesn’t have any locations but the asphalt to place a tent.
@MadisonC279124 · Camped on Jun 11, 2022 at Campsite #28
Beautiful views! The campsite we chose did not look like the photos. The biggest issue was the bathrooms are not very close to many of the campgrounds. I was nervous that animal may be in there because the doors opened with the wind. Would go back but a different campsite maybe?

We loved our time at Bowery Creek campground despite some cold nights and windy days. One of the major factors in our positive experience was the campground host, Dick. He was always cheerful and understanding and did everything he could to make our stay a pleasant one.

We hope that his supervisors know what an asset he is to the park.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
