I loved the quiet. 10 pointsThere was something for everyone - kids on bikes, kids playing in the sand and in the water, parents falling asleep under beach umbrellas, and people nestled in the shade reading alongside the lake. The area was well kept, campground neat and clean, directional signs well posted.

We love Wright's Lake and all the surrounding small lakes. This year the lake was very low but still swimmable. The pools were nearly nonexistent. The bathrooms were very clean, although we could not have a campfire due to the fires north and south. The fires were not close, but Friday morn the smoke rolled in, AQI 300 etc, and we broke camp and headed home two days early. But we had had a wonderful 8 days. Can only be grateful for that.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds of all time! The lake is perfect for kayaking with young children, because it has no motorized boats on it, so it is very safe. The cleanliness of the camp sited is beyond what you would expect for a heavily used facility, and the bathrooms are very clean. We always enjoy the trails, and climbing on the many rocks that are abundant in this area. I went here with my grandparents, as a child, and enjoyed this trip with MY Great-Grandsons! Fishing was fun, and everyone got plenty of nibbles to keep them engaged and excited. We enjoyed the walk back to Dark Lake, and the beautiful scenery that we encountered along the way. Bear Boxes for food storage made us feel safe, and were also handy as another surface to prepare for our fishing and swimming trips! Also, Bassi Falls is just down the road, and a beautiful short, level, easy hike!
