It takes effort & attention to book a site Six Months in advance. Difficult . But I liked that site , the large old growth trees , the surrounding forest & rock above. table, old bent bar fire ring I only use less than a half hour before sunlight in morning, no need on those warm nights. Like the food/ fragrance locker. proximity of potable water & bathrooms, though few wheelchairs could handle that terrain, so ADA didn't seem needed at those 4 sites, but somebody might need the extra width. TP was always there, but I wouldn't want to drop Anything on the floor. Please see that hoses are there for the hosts to well rinse the toilet rooms, wall & floors after sanitizing them. I'll return and hope it is available when I want to be there, any midweeks beween June and closure. Unless a possible period of more than a quick sqaull. heavy thunderstorms occur there, thus it is below Thuder Mountain. Be prepared and read the forecast. We were fine & I had breaks in the rain intensity to vacate camp and load my car.Like my camp neighbors and that some were quiet & unoccupied, but its sad when those were booked 3 days and nobody else could use the campsite when payer didn't ever show there.
Many campers detest the far in advance reservations and need flexibility for contingencies that occur in life, on short notice.

The campground is walking distance to Silver Lake where you can swim, paddle, and fish. Great sunset viewing is available across the street at Sunset Rock. The lodge has ping pong and ice cream for the kids.
