It seems like the weather is always perfect up here. There is nothing worse than a windy camping trip. This spot did not disappoint. It's a little walk up an incline, but in return, you're isolated from the main campground and can go about your business. 6/5 stars. I almost didn't write a review so I could have the spot to myself. -gh

Usually May would be a hopping month in Pine Valley area but cold weather kept people away. I was in Crackfoot 23 and loved the experience. I was alone in the loop. Wildlife, solitude and camping at it's best. Good Verizon coverage just west of my camp looking down valley. The hosts were very accommodating and let me use the wagon to haul gear to #23. THANK YOU.

Such a beautiful spot! There was plenty of space between tent spots so we felt relaxed but safe. The visiting cows were a fun addition! We even enjoyed the tiny hike up to our site!

Outstanding campground destination! Beautiful forks off the Santa Clara, and the fishing pond in front ot Dean Gardner being an easy walk away, this was a great camping experience. For anybody book Crackfoot sites C19-C23, be aware that there is a bit of a walk (unpaved, but leveled uphill) to those 5 spots. 19 is the shortest walk while 23 is the longest. We can't wait to get back out there!

We were expecting two tent spaces, so be prepared to bunk up. The fire pit was placed well, and well maintained. We were right next to a trail that was rarely traveled. The creek wasn't a tough hike and the kids loved going over to it. The water was rushing so adult supervision was necessary. It was very convenient to have the trail close. Having to haul our gear up the trail to the spot was a difficult task, and we ended up leaving half of our gear in the truck to use as needed. The bathrooms were close enough that it wasn't a problem to visit them with the exception of a midnight trip. No animal encounters, aside from other campers animals. We brought our chocolate lab with us and he was nice and comfortable. There was a boil order in the camping area so we brought plenty of water. I made sure to bring enough water for everyone to have 32 ounces a day, in addition to wash water. I am so excited to use this same camp spot again next year, and will be prepared better!
