We hiked the Lost Hunter Trail, which starts right at the campground. It leads to beautiful meadows with tall, majestic pine trees & aspen trees all around. We also drove out to hike the trail to Cascade Falls - this is a must see waterfall! Plenty of water there this summer - it was astonishingly beautiful. We also took the family to crawl through the volcanic lava tubes at Mammoth Cave - definitely need a headlamp or flashlights for this one. The lava tubes are not that long, and for those that like adventure or crawling through tight spaces, it'll be fun. And we attempted to hike the trails at Cedar Breaks but unfortunately this year, all the trails were still snowed in. We were able to get nice views from the outlook viewpoint areas only.
Duck Creek says it is bear country, but there were no sightings of bears at all. The campgrounds don't even have bear lockers, so I imagine they do not frequent the area much, if at all.
All in all, would definitely go there again!!
We enjoyed our time at the park. Panguitch lake is a must. Fishing was great. Must rent a Pontoon boat to catch the big ones. Fun times
