Beautiful place, beautiful trails. Our favorite place to camp with horses, family and dogs.

We absolutely loved our trip! It was clean, quiet and just beautiful there! The trails are just perfect! We loved it so much we already reserved a spot in August.

Beautiful sites. Reservation stated there was water in camp, via a hand pump...not so. Handle was off the pump...no way to get water. Camp Host didn't seem too concerned. It was hot and NO WATER for horses! Concessionaire didn't seem too concerned either. We were all desperate for water for our horses. Spring & water trough was dry. Concessionaire did not even bring us a water tank. Said they had to have water tested for "potability" before they could put pump handle back on. WHY WASN'T THIS DONE BEFORE THE CAMP OPENED FOR RESERVATIONS? Total lack of responsibility & organization on Concessionaire's part. They left us all high & dry! And... no refund to campers for sites w/out promised water. Those with disconnected trucks went into Camp Sherman looking for water. Found a hose connected to a Public Bldg & got water there, but still had to haul it back to camp somehow. Horses need minimum 5-8 gallons per day. Shame on somebody! Never trust the government or their contractors. Be sure to haul in water if you go there.
