We love Lower Bridge Campground. We stayed in campsite #1 this time. Not much room for your vehicle. But, magnificent view of the Metolius River! We're eager to return. This was probably our 10th visit to Lower Bridge Campground over the years. Outstanding!

The campground is great. Site number one is not. Very narrow and my rig is only seven feet wide. Please convert it to a back-in site.

Great spot with a buce, wide view of the river. Perfect for a pull-through.

Campsite 1 is the most scenic and overall fantastic site but tight for a camper/RV/trailer with trees and a slope.

Each year since 1996 I have camped in Lower Bridge. It has always been great.
The last couple years I have tried to dispose of my trash in the dumpster only to find it is nearly impossible to open the lid. It would take Superman to simply lift up the hatch. It is a different style than in past years. What message is this sending to campers? There are many senior citizens like me who are conscientious about disposal of trash. I'm mystified.

This is a beautiful campground set in the Ponderosa Pines and along the river. We’ve stayed here many times and enjoy the solitude and friendly campers. The bathrooms were clean, well maintained and stocked with supplies.
Unfortunately, we had two disappointments: (1) our picnic table had a huge (8 x 11”) burn most of the way through the table. Made it difficult to utilize the table fully (2) the trash cans were overfilled and trash was strewn all over the ground where squirrels were carrying it off. This was not dumped for 2 days… it was an eyesore near our campsite and it smelled.

We love this campground because: it's right on the Metolius River; has direct, walking access to 4 sides/directions of river trails; big, beautiful trees; lots of birds; (mostly) large sites; and is quiet. We've been mostly during the "shoulder" seasons of late spring and early fall (avoiding heavier use season). Nights can be cold but do-able.

The campground is stunningly beautiful. The sites spaced far apart. Most sites are riverside. The area was clean and well maintained. The only downside is that if you have a camper or van, difficult to find a level area. But easily fixed work levelers.

I altered the reservation arriving two days later than I had anticipated. I got an email from the website acknowledging the change. But when I arrived the site was not reserved, another RV was present and we had to go and find a site in a remote location with no toilets down the road. Roads in this state parks were awful, full of washboards and rutted.
