Jack Creek Campground is located in the Sisters Ranger District, Deschutes National Forest (59 min northwest of Bend, OR) with an elevation of 3,057 feet. There are a total of 19 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to the beginning of October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Prices start at $17.00 per night.

We love the spaciousness of the grounds and the large distances between camp sites. Also, the beauty and uniqueness of Jack Creek itself.

It's a beautiful place however the camp rules aren't enforced. Our family rented 3 camp sites at $77 each for our 3 night stay. However, the people nearby had SEVERAL vehicles, tents, & campers in ONE site. Many of the sites are large but last year we were charged for our one (supposedly you aren't allowed more than that) extra vehicle yet these people shared a campsite with multiple campers/vehicles. We're pretty sure this same group was there the year before as well all crammed into one site. I guess you can be honest & pay for multiple sites or just do what you want since the 'rules' aren't enforced.

I'm 6th generation fishing the Metolius and have been camping on the Metolius for over a decade myself. This year, we decided to try something new. Jack creek is a tributary of the Metolius and possesses the same crystal clear healing water. This campground is a little father out there which means less populated (by humans) and quieter. We even met a doe in our campsite one night! A truly wonderful and exceptionally peaceful place!

Had site 18 reserved. When we got there midafternoon, the site had been taken by a FF for three days, starting one day before our arrival through one day after our departure. Our name was not on the marker as being reserved on the day we were to arrive, The fee we paid recreation.gov accomplished nothing. We did move over to another site that had an opening that night and was reserved after our departure the next day.. Site number 6 was fine but we saw no one to verify the change was ok. dr

Excellent campsite, particularly if you are self contained. If you are tent camping be aware that site 2 is a little awkwardly spaced from the restroom. You feel like you are walking through someone's campsite to access the closest restroom and the only other restroom is on the far side of the campground. Large pull thru driveway and spacious site that would fit more than one tent. Site 2 and site 1 are set off from the other sites and more private.

Recommended, provided you are prepared for no amenities and lots of dust. Peaceful spot, and the creek is lovely -- lots of wildflowers and butterflies there. Short drive to Sisters, Metolius hikes, etc. Campsites are quite large, but not very private; the area is mostly open space, and the boundaries between sites are not well defined.

I loved this campground. Site 1 was epic with that corner view, really felt like we were alone sometimes. Tons of space. Nice sites throughout. Would stay here again for the tranquility. River walk was beautiful. I wish theyd expand out river access near camp just a little bit, could be some nice spots to lay out. Pit toilet needed some love.

When we arrive our sites they were full of chairs,tables etc from wedding they had day before. Person told us company was to pick up at 10:00am. They show up at 3:00 and site was cleared by 5:00. Two hour delay for some in our group.

A brilliant quiet campground on a lovely shallow, and very cold, creek. It's very well kept and is very clean and tidy. Bring your own water because there's no running water on site.

Hard to find, which is perfect! Pretty dusty in a dry August, but the creek access is great, vault toilets kept very clean, thoughtful neighbors.

It is just a quiet, peaceful place with several trails around including the headwaters of Jack Creek. And I can most always get a camp site there.

Midweek terrific getaway! Having a beautiful campground almost to ourselves was a miracle. Bathrooms serviced daily and clean but the single pit toilet needed to be flushed (very smelly). Jack Creek a little gem, a mini Metolius!

This is a lovely quiet, spacious area, although rustic. There is plenty of room between you and your neighbors and space for pull through’s. The frustrating part was not having clear directions. Do not follow the ones to jack creek camp as are given on the webpage. Clear signs would make it a lot simpler and since we didn’t know we unhitched our RV so we could drive around with our truck to locate the campground.

Overall this campground is wonderful in many ways. An oasis in an area than tends to get busy around Suttle Lake and the Metolius. The creek is beautiful, and this campground is quiet and peaceful. A great starting point to explore the many attractions in the area. The first four sites on either side are the best and largest, 001, 002, 018, 019. After that the sites get cramped and there is little privacy. There isn't a camp host. Bring your own water. We brought our own firewood as well, but there was a lot of downed trees in the area to supplement our campfire. No cell service, but you can get a signal a few minutes up the road if necessary. If you enjoy solitude and getting away from it all, this is your place.

We just love it here. The creek is beautiful and safe for kids (at least ages 5 and up). The trail to the headwaters of the Jack creek is easy hiking and has good spring mushrooms. Happy place.

It was beautiful neighbors were really nice. The area is damaged by fire of course. My only complaint is that all of our neighbors were burning for burning fires When there was clearly a fire ban the weekend we stayed. Risk for forest fire was high. It's extremely disrespectful to our Beautiful forest land to be burning fire when the risk of forest fire is so high, I'm extremely disappointed in all the other campers for their lack of respect for the forest and all its creatures.

Jack Creek is exceptional in that each campsite is at least 100 to 200 feet from the neighbors. This is a site to get away and relax .

This is a pretty remote location but very beautiful. Don't forget to bring all your own water as there is none there. Camp Sherman is just 5 miles away and a beautiful place to go as well, and there's a camp store where you can buy food, gifts, water, etc. Jack Creek is very dusty but the campsites, in general, are huge. We've been here several times and love it!
