Its a nice little spot, but it wasnt cleaned up at all. There was absolutely no defensable space and we had to clear a lot of pinecones and pine needles. There was no escaping the pitch with all of the needles. The poor dog was covered. Theres also a walking trail that runs on two sides of this site. There wasnt a huge amount of traffic, but I imagine it increases with the season.

campsite was super nice under 2 massive douglas firs. it rained the first day but out tent and my daughter and i stayed dry under the massive trees. The river was so close we could hear it as we slept. Mountain bike riding at suttle lake was all time. The lake is beautiful. We also went into bend to go white water rafting in the Deschutes river. I love the central Oregon part almost better than the surf at seaside with the crab. Love that site. be back soon.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Allen Springs in September was beautiful and we loved it in this early fall season. Hiked along the river trail in the warm afternoons, and enjoyed being on the banks of the Metolius as always. Folks at the Camp Sherman store were friendly and the coffee & pastry were delicious.

Such an amazing place. Love how small and quite everything is.

We were in space number 5, which is a walk in. It is only 100 meters from parking. There is a trail on both sides so there isnt full privacy. The lot is spacious. We had a tent of 5 by 5 and there were at least 2 different places we could have pitched it. The ground is pretty level. No cell phone coverage for our ATT and Tmobile. Toilets were clean. Garbage was managed well.
