Unfortunetly we could not stay at Trapper Creek campground because of the heavy smoke from the Red Wild Fire. Several people in our group are compromised with health issues and we had a 2 y/o and could not use the campground because of the heavy smoke. We did find a campground farther north, Lost Creek Campground, it too was slightly smokey but it c leared up and we stayed there for our 4 day family trip. I have contacted The Crescent Lake Ranger and have asked for a full refund for the charges on space 22 and space 28 at Trapper C reek campground. If someone reviews this comment please forward this to the Crescent Lake Distric t Ranger. Thanks

The campground was just like it was 30 years ago when we last visited. It's very shady and difficult to use solar to charge anything so you will hear generators running all day. The boat ramp is a busy place and difficult to access as it's really the only lake access for kids to play in the water. Huge pot holes on the road in and inside the campground. While we were there the best spots on the lake were empty most of the time but you can't have one due to the very confusing and difficult to use website. In fact the best sites on the lake don't even show up on the campground map but they'er always reserved. Some sites are ok some are really bad with no privacy and if your down wind from the outhouses it smells. Also there is no grey water dump or a fish cleaning station . In my opinion the amount being charged should cover some regular maintenance to this aging facility. Please bring it up to par.

I loved this campground. Big, semi-private sites, shade and sun, very clean bathrooms, cell service and lots of beautiful trails. Will absolutely be coming back!
