I made reservations for Princess Creek #32 (Multifamily camp space and able to handle a 28" RV), plus I stated we would have two vehicles. My grandchildren were here to visit for a month is the reason for the 8 day stay. My youngest grandson had fractured his back in the later part of May. He had spent several weeks in bed and was now able to walk around carefully. When we arrived at our reservation site, I was sooooo disappointed.....The site was much smaller than was expected due to it being advertised as "Multifamily". Plus, there was MULTIPLE tree roots sticking out of the ground which made walking extremely dangerous for my grandson. Plus, when we arrived, the camp host met us stating that we could not park there, saying we were too big. I told her that we were fine. She said again, You can't park here, your RV is too big. I told her we would be ok. We could fit. She said it again....I told her we were FINE...we knew what we were doing. She walked away waving her hands, chanting loudly to herself that we were too big and we had a second vehicle. This site is advertised for a 28' RV....mine is a 26'. After that, we did not see the camp host until the evening of the 7th. She came to our camp site stating that we were late checking out. I told her I had the site reserved thru the 10th. She walked away yelling that she would check her books. She had disappeared for multiple days and had no idea who was to check out and who was to check in. The camp site posts were not updated. Up until the 10th., the host was gone more than she was there. While she was gone, there was a quad and a motorcycle racing around the campground. There was no one there to uphold the rules. The toilets were out of toilet paper for two days (which made several campers unhappy) until the host from Sunset Cove arrived and filled the toilets with paper. I do a lot of camping and I've not ever been so disappointed, not only in the camp site, but with a host as well.

The boat ramp was a little loud in the morning at the group spot but camp host was nice and campground had great spots. Beautiful views as well.

We booked a group site (32) which said it could house two 21’ trailers and cars, for a party 8 people. We arrived and we barely got one trailer in. There was no camp host, so we went to the next campground over. They gave us the camp host site across from our site for a fee. That seemed ridiculous since we booked a group site that wasn’t actually a group site. We would have been screwed had that not been available.

The site has standing swamp water in it which smells super gross and makes it really buggy. No big deal to us, but wanted to let people know.

Our site has water access, but we wanted more if a beach for the day for our kids. We went to Crescent for the day and when we came back a got from an interior camp site had parked his enormous fishing boat. Told us he’d be back at 4:30am to go fishing.

I don’t know the Etiquette in a place like this, but I thought it was super rude to take our water front spot for his boat. If he wanted that he should have booked the spot. We booked way in advance for this spot. He has to walk through our site. Left his ropes for kids to get all tangled in. Sunset was obscured by his ugly boat. Woke us up at 4:30 with his motor.

Pretty camp site, but I wouldn’t book this one again. And beware it’s not a group site. I think there should also be Lake facing signs saying not to park your boat at someone else’s paid site.

I’ll start with the good.. i love the lakeside spots! It was nice to have the shallow water right there to sit in a chair and play with the dogs in and launch our water toys. The water was wonderful and the view of the lake was beautiful.

However.. Our double lakeside campsite that i paid over $60 for was the ONLY campsite in the whole campground that wasn’t either cautioned off for obvious reasons or cleaned up. I took a walk around the other sites and ours was again the ONLY one not cleaned up.we could barely fit three tents in a DOUBLE site. There were fallen trees, not even attempted to be cleaned up, roots sticking up everywhere, debris everywhere, it was almost unusable and I’m still debating asking for a refund and/or two free nights in a campsite I don’t have to worry about hurting myself in. (I did get a black eye by tripping on something so guess i did get hurt) not really a happy camper 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I will stay in one of or rather any of the other cleaned up usuable lakeside spots in the future because the lake itself was beautiful.

We stayed in #32 which is supposed to be a double site. Booked primarily because it was the only lakeside site available. I had high hopes but was pretty disappointed. We brought a 20ft trailer, which I don't recommend for this site because its a 90 degree back in. Not the easiest for newbies like us. It is a good thing we had the trailer though because you would be hard pressed to find an area big enough or level enough for any tent, much less multiple tents as a group site would imply. You are right on the lake, however to sit lakeside the opening is only big enough for about 2 chairs... the view is pretty though. Another thing to consider, you are right next to the boat launch so there is traffic going back and forth all day and when we were here the dumpster next to the boat launch was very stinkyand overflowing with discarded fish guts or whatever. Overall, I'd probably stay here again but not in this site. It needs to be cleaned up of fallen trees and debris before it can really be considered a double site.
