The camp grounds themselves were fine. The lakes are very popular with a rowdy crowd and it was very busy with cars driving past all night. Biggest issue was our campground host was rude and boarded on harassment with his comments about how I should smile, buy firewood from him for love, and other creepy comments about if I had a boyfriend.

Most of the week went decent enough, even kept the fly off and was able to sleep looking at the stars. As a warning, the reservoir is completely drained, just a small, shallow river left, from what I was told due to selling off the water rights, meaning it's not coming back anytime soon. I'm talking the end of the docks that used to be underwater in the lake are now easily 10-20 feet above the current water level. We were hanging out at Twin Lakes thankfully which still have some water in them but it meant we saw a number of literal dust storms over the week and then during our last few days you didn't really notice the dust since the smoke from the wildfires was getting stronger.

In addition, the last two nights, a party crew showed up in the next campsite that lit up their campsite(and ours) like it was daylight till well past midnight with a litany of LED torches and what not plus had a large fire going despite the fire ban. The worst part wasn't even the incredible noise of easily like 20+ people and kids in one campsite, it was that they constantly walked in front of their torches and so the lights that hit our tent kept going on and off, creating a strobe effect.

Overall, definitely the worst campground I've been to. Never was great but afforded a place to stay if you couldn't get cabins at Twins Lakes but now it's tough to say if it's worth it given there won't be usable water levels anytime soon and as such, the dust is only going to get worse and worse. Also, the toilets stank to high heaven.
