Moderately difficult dirt road with no directional signs that leads to the campground from the highway, but I was able to find it easily enough still. If you are traveling in a trailer or RV just take it slow. No camp host due to the small size but a forestry employee comes by every day or two to check the toilet. Easy river access with short hiking trails and fly fishermen make this a regular spot. Went during August and while every lake nearby has algae blooms the Deschutes river is still clean, clear, and beautiful. The big downgrade for this location are the camping spots are too close together with very little barrier between. They lucked out one year and an enormous tree came down in the middle of the campground to give everyone at least a little privacy from one another haha.

Sites are close together and some are not separated at all by brush so you are literally next to each other. The river is beautiful but only a few areas of flat ground to go in so sharing with everyone else. Bathroom was clean and well taken care of. Overall it was an okay experience but would choose only two of the sites to stay for more privacy

We were not able to find this campground because after the initial turn off sign from the highway, there are no other signs. The dirt road splits into about six different roads. My husband and I spent 45 minutes trying different roads and turning around on tight roads with our teardrop trailer. We ended up just finding somewhere else to sleep.
