Good stay. Didn't see the camp hosts much. Fishing was okay, not great. Not many campers before July. Part of ramp to dock was under water. Bathrooms and fish cleaning station were stinky.

Had a good stay. Camped next space from friends. Not happy about the more expensive charge for an extra car. Makes you not want to stay as long.

The campground itself is lovely. However, Recreation.gov did not send us a note that there is no water or dup station in the area. We made the reservation 6 months in advance, and were not aware of the water situation. Make sure you bring plenty of fresh drinking water or else you will be driving to another campground to fill up jugs. The nearest dump station is La Pine or Oak Ridge, depending on your direction. Again, this information should be shared by Recreation.gov but it is not.

In June Wickiup campground is usually quiet and filled with people who come to fish. You find peace in being able to sit at the shoreline and watch the beautiful birds. You must be able to withstand the colder weather at this time of year, but after a long winter it is nice to get out in nature.

Bathrooms were not flush toilets as was mentioned in the website. Also, the fact the reservoir is emptied must be highlighted when describing the location. As a camp site, it was relatively clean. The camp hosts do a great job keeping it up. Despite the fire-ban, some guests still lighted up fire logs. The hosts did make them put their fire off, but it was unsettling to see people defy the rules despite the historic draught we are in.

Beautiful campground but probably won't be back. They have ruined the fishing here and that is the reason many come here to camp.
