Me an my partner have came to zippo every year we been together an get a cabin an it's so peaceful that is something we keep doing together this year was our 3rd anniversary

Beautiful spot. Sites are large and private. Cabin bunkbeds are not double, but single. There is padding on the bedframes. Facilities are clean. Staff is very helpful.

Our site and cabin were nice, clean and welcoming. We had a very short drive to the boat ramp which was never crowded. It was a great weekend for the whole family! We will definitely be back!

Nothing but great things to say about Zilpo. The staff at the entrance are so friendly, they went out of their way to accommodate us. The cabins were spotless clean when we arrived and the grounds were very well cared for. We went in the fall and Cave run lake is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.. I highly recommend Zilpo campground, you will not regret it!

We normally stay at Twin Knobs but with the economy the way it has been and everyone wanting to go the cheaper route for vacation, we have had to stay at Zilpo. Its beautiful there but the state doesnt pay as much attention to that side and the bathrooms are horrible, some of the host are just awful. Now when my family has stayed before the hosts use to keep the bathrooms clean, I dont know how they do it now but the past two times we have stayed whoever cleans them now, well lets just say a 2 yr old could do better. We stayed in the F loop the past 2 times so needless to say I wont be staying in that loop anymore and if I can help it I wont be stay at Zilpo.. We rented the cabin in that loop and they said it was just cleaned when we got there. I had to re-sweep the floors and wipe everything down cause it was awful! Its like they just went in and sprayed Pine-Sol everywhere and thats it. I even had to clean the air filter cause it wasnt blowing out cool air!! It was about 2 inches thick with dirt!! The cabin says no pets allowed and no smoking but whoever stayed before us lets just say they had pets and smoked. They did not even wipe the windows off and there was still ketchup and sticky stuff all over the front door window!! So I will find a different loop or try my best to book way ahead of time to stay at Twin Knobs. They have beautiful spots at Zilpo if the state would just but forth the extra effort on the Zilpo side that they do on the Twin Knob side!!

Staff are not friendly. I was yelled at to, slow down while driving 9 mph in a 10 mph zone. The loop our campsite was on had no showers, and the showers were closed in the loop next to us. I had to literally drive all the way across the campground to shower. One night, as I was driving back from the showers I took a wrong turn. The roads are poorly marked, and it was hard to see at night. I immediately got road blocked by the security staff Gestapo. Even though I explained that I could not see, he felt that harassment was his best course of action to remedy the situation. One of the worst places I ever camped. Forget about it..
