Great little spot with an easy hike in!

We brought our snowshoes but didn't need them and left them at the car. Only 3-12 inches of snow and it was all packed down on the trail. The previous visitors left the cabin very tidy and well stocked and we tried to do the same for the next visitors as well. It appears the propane lamp doesn't work anymore, but someone left a recharageable light with a USB C adapter, highly recommend bringing a power bank and cord. There is just a little bit of sporadic reception for both Verizon and AT&T, you will get texts and notifications here and there.

Trail creek cabin was a fun ski in. The floors are pretty new and the stove is easily big enough for that space. Well stocked, had a blast with my friends!!

The cabin is absolutely wonderful! Better equipped than we thought with pots, pans and a few basic spices people had left behind. Also a cupboard of puzzles and games!
4 stars because while out ski touring we had to turn around a few times when we encountered no trespassing signs along trails on the USFS maps.

Beautiful, well stocked cabin. Unfortunately it is surrounded by private property. We made the most of our trip and enjoyed the solitude, no ATVs… yet.

Really enjoyed our time at Trail Creek Cabin. It was clean, cosy, lots of good cookstove wood available, outhouse was clean. A beautiful, accessible place to enjoy nature!

It was cold but cabin was warm. The area is a patchwork of private land and national forest service. Bring a map.

Cabin had plenty of firewood. Also included a pot for melting snow and some leftover propane that others had left. The stove worked well. The lantern needed new mantles. Heard one mouse but cabin was clean. No tinder to start a fire so it was good we brought some. The trail up to the cabin was boney and icy so we walked the half mile on our way out. Once up at the cabin, the Goose Ck Road was great for skiing both directions! We called the District office for conditions and to ask inventory questions but they couldn't answer anything so we had to find a friend of a friend of the office. Overall, great experience!

We had the best time at Trail Creek Cabin! My fiance, my dog, and I snowmobiled the five miles into the cabin with a sled attached with all our gear. It was fun chopping wood, going on walks, exploring, using the coleman grill, and playing games in the lantern light. So nice to get off the grid for two nights. Very clean and warm :)

The trail didn’t have enough snow to ski on for the first half. We hiked. The cabin was well stocked with firewood and clean.
Enjoyed our stay!

Great cabin in such a beautiful location. We loved our stay, it was peaceful and relaxing. We did some hiking and skiing in the area. The cabin sits on a great trail system. The hike in was a little over 2 miles and snow packed. Since there has been new snow, you might need snowshoes.

Trail Creek was the perfect getaway in the snow. At the end of December it was very muddy, but got snowed in while there. The hike clocked at 2.25 miles and WAS GORGEOUS. You overlook a valley in a wide field and then drop into the woods, where the cabin will peek out of the trees. Woodshed was beautifully stocked for chopping wood, as were the trail presents of hot cocoa, love notes, and playing cards. There are pans and pitchers for cooking, as well as a clothesline and places to hang a lantern. My only recommendations is to be aware that the stove will use 1-2 logs per 90 min - 2 hours; the cabin will get cold overnight. So pleased this was my first forest cabin experience
