Camp hosts were not very friendly or helpful! Forest service officers answered our questions and helped us with the campground rules. Great job done by the Forest service!

Campsite 27B is the best site. It's next to the creek and has plenty of space to play games and run around playing hide and seek. We brought our bikes to ride around camp and had a beautiful, easy hike to the water fall. Can't wait to do it again.

Lovely, quiet campground. The sites were large and private. The creek was so welcome on a hot day. The hike up to the falls was beautiful.

Large, private sites. Creek side or far end of upper loop are the best

First of, I am a regular at Pine Creek and love the campground. It has been significantly impacted with an overabundance of new campers since 2020. I made a reservation for 2 nights at my favorite site - at least I thought I had. I reserved on my phone and had a lot of difficulty with the sale going through. I arrived at the campsite at about 6 PM, and there was no sign indicating a reservation until Sept 3rd (this was the 29th). Had I not already reserved, I would have paid for 2 nights at that site. I was grateful no one else had taken it. I pitched my tent and went out for dinner. When I came back, a reservation sign with my name on it had appeared, so I assumed all was well. I was relaxing at the site with my partner the next day when a couple appeared and told us they had booked the site and were needed to move our chairs, tent, hammock and privacy shelter elsewhere. I realized that only one night of my reservation had gone through. The host was unavailable, and the couple was unwilling to park their trailer at a different site for the night. Thankfully there was another site. It was very very frustrating. I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't made the reservation and had paid for 2 nights when I arrived, seeing a sign that said the next reservation of that site was for Sept 3rd?

This campground is along a very nice creek with a great hike up to a beautiful waterfall about 2.5mi away. And the general location, in the Paradise Valley, can’t be beat. But the sites are pretty rough. Not in disrepair. But just not as nicely developed as many other Natl forest CGs. So they’re a bit depressing to be in if you’re just hanging out.
