If you love to fish and dont mind traffic noise, youll enjoy this campground. The outhouse is very clean and the camp spots are large and comfortable. The river is right there, just below the tree line, so great for fishermen. That said, I found the price to be pretty steep for what you get and the traffic noise on 191 to be really annoying. Therefore, I wont be coming back to this location.

Had a great time at Moose Creek. The location was perfect. We had a great time and caught fish. We will definitely make this an annual trip.

It was great to be right on the Galletin River. My husband is a fisherman. While he was fishing right in front of the campground I enjoyed reading my book underneath the pine tree. No mosquitoes which you can imagine how they can ruin the whole experience. We met with many nice people at the campground. The only drawback could be the traffic noise but it was not a big deal for us since we were usually up until the traffic died out. It was a great base for exploring around. We hiked up the lava lake which is about 10 mins drive to the trailhead and drove up to Hyalite lake that is about 50 mins away.

Great sites right on the river. Plenty of space for my 37ft bumper pull. A little bit of road noise, but the river and Mountain View make up for it.

Nice place close to big sky and lots of ATV trails, hiking trails and back country roads.
Only issue is the highway noise at night

Beautiful area. Sites are big and level. Yes there is highway noise, but it didn't bother us. Wish the potable water pump worked. Would stay here again.

Camp hosts are awesome! They service 3 campgrounds in the area and do an outstanding job. Outhouse vaults were super clean and never low on supplies. They came around a few times a day and did garbage service, outhouse checks, cleaned unoccupied fire rings, etc.... main reason we are repeat campers in this campground.
