Comfortably appointed and rustic. Do miss having a fireplace for ambiance. Close to the lake and to Summerhaven and a variety of good hiking trails. Thank you

The location was great, close to summerhaven and ski valley and right off the main road. The Mt Bigelow trail is also right across the street. We watched a sunset at Windy Point and ate at Beyond Bread in the Mt Lemmon lodge. Planned on the Iron Door, but it is closed Tues and Wed. The kitchen had everything we needed and the futons were actually pretty comfortable for sleeping on. We saw many birds and wild turkeys. The fire pit was also a nice perk. Just dont forget your TP and paper towels. There is wifi and electricity for charging devices.

Nice accommodation a few miles north of Rose Canyon Lake. The cabin had a lot of the main items youd need like a stove, fridge, microwave, an outdoor grille. Area was nice and quiet and dark in the evening. Our family of 5 really enjoyed the stay.

Staying at the cabin was such a wonderful, restful time under the pines. The fenced backyard made it easy for us to travel with our English Setters, who loved their walks down Organization Road. The cabin itself has a pretty well-stocked kitchen, so we didn't need to bring as much stuff as we did -- but it was our first time! And, the wifi signal is awesome, which made up for no cell service.

Nice 1 br cabin with good heat and water. I would stay again. The Wi-Fi helped me- TMobile isnt working well at the cabin. It is close to the visitors center which was closed when I was there but still many were playing in the snow around the cabin when I arrived. It was quiet at night at the end of Jan. Because the campgrounds are all empty or closed.

I could not find the address to the cabin online anywhere. I eventually downloaded the Google maps app so I could put the coordinates into and get directions. An address should be posted in multiple locations.

Comfortable cabin with easy access to many hiking trails. Sleeping on futons in the living room was practical for two guests, the bedroom has only one bed and it is not very inviting (there is no other furniture or accessories in the bedroom but plenty of floor space if one would like to put down inflatable mattress). Having WiFi available is a great addition for making calls since the regular cell service is spotty. Overall a great gateway that is close to Tucson yet secluded.

Great time! We've been before and knew to bring all our own bedding (Queen-Sized), bath/kitchen towels, as well as dish soap...along with our food, of course. This time there were no ice trays though, so we bought a bag of ice at the General Store in Summerhaven (they have many supplies, if you forget something). Also, because cell service is sparse, it was great to find the Guest WiFi Password at the Visitor's Center close by.

Shower, toilet running water, A/C and heater. All excellent things at a high elevation in theory woods. Enjoyed the use of the cabin, and plan to use again.

A wonderful experience. We did not want to leave. The cabin is exactly what we wanted for roughing it in luxury, and our dogs loved the enclosed yard. Clean and inviting inside and out. Absolutely loved it. There are other structures nearby, such as the visitors center and a bunkhouse. But on weekdays, the foot/vehicle traffic was very minimal and not a bother. Plenty secluded and peaceful.Absolute bliss. We will be returning soon.

We had a nice time, but the cabin was very dirty when we arrived. The previous guests hadn't even taken out the trash. Took some nice hikes and enjoyed a visit to Summerhaven.

We all need to remember that it's a "Rustic Cabin". It's up to the people who stay there to clean up for the next guest. When we arrived there was dog hair in huge balls on the floor and dog hair on the couch. The kitchen had sticky stains on the floor and overall it looked as though no one had cleaned in awhile. We should work together to make it a more pleasant experience for all. That being said there is a need for those in charge of maintenance to fix some major issues in the cabin. The door jam on the rear door has been broken, splintered by a break in, they just placed a strike plate over the hole. (Not secure enough to feel safe) The screens on the back windows have been ripped open by someone trying to get into the windows, you can see the hand prints in the dust. A couple windows have no working locks at all. The bathroom sink has been dripping since we stayed there a year ago. Mount Lemmon is under water restriction and even a small drip like this uses about 700 gallons over a years time. The outside security lights do not work. These simple fixes need to be done!We all leave necessities there that we didn't use like toilet paper or dish soap, etc. This helps if someone forgets to bring something. In November we visited some friends and I left 2 packages of coffee filters there (200 filters) in Dec there wasn't a single filter in the place. I hope who ever took them reads this and realizes how NOT COOL that was! We can make the cabin a great place to stay but we have to work together. That being said enjoy your stay and leave it the way you would like to see it when you arrive.

Great place to stay in the heart of Mt Lemmon. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Set in a grove of pines, it was very quiet. Didnt expect Wifi so that was a bonus! Its close the the Visitors Center, if you need information about the area.

We had an excellent time and I highly recommend the Palisades Trail close by. It's designated as Moderate, but we found it pretty easy. The only minor* issue about the cabin was that the door frame was broken out where the keycode lock engages, so there was no way to really lock the cabin. Someone tried using a chair to block the door, but it easily slid out of the way...and there was a note on the door to retrieve the key for other door at the Visitor's Center, but no need because you (and anyone) could easily get in/out the door that had the keycode lock). Actually, that was luckily so, given the Visitor's Center closed before we arrived. I called this a minor issue because I wasn't really concerned that anyone would be up on Mt Lemmon, picking that particular cabin, for any nefarious deeds. Lastly, no cell service, but WiFi was accessible (mainly in living room area).

What a great little cabin! We enjoyed our stay with access to so much great hiking! The only thing I can think to complain about was ants in the kitchen but nothing a few ant traps wouldn't fix. We will definitely be back!

It's exactly what you'd expect a ranger cabin to be, but perhaps cleaner and more comfortable. For the price, what you get is very good. There were two things that might be bothersome: 1.) Only sheer curtains in the living room and none in the kitchen, 2.) It's not very secluded-- RV park across the street and Boy Scouts of America camp across the other way. The great part is access to trails, the smell of pine forest, the sound of the wind in the trees, the price, and the close proximity of Summerhaven and other Mt Lemmon attractions. I found it a great value for the money.

Excellent cabin! Private, good clear access & signage, appreciated having a bed, a shower, kitchen setup. Rustic, peaceful. There was still snow in late March but it was refreshing as it was 95F at Saguaro National Park the next day. A pretty drive up from Tucson!

The email confirmation had instructions for retrieving the key from a lock box on the back door. Once we arrived and figured out where to park (the driveway was not plowed), I went to get the key to unlock the cabin. There was a handwritten note taped to the door. It said that the front door was unlocked and that the key had been left on the table inside. Neither of the doors were unlocked and I could see through the window that there was no key on the table. I opened the lockbox just to be sure. Nothing, it was empty. There was a phone number posted to call for maintenance and emergencies but our phone got no service. I had to drive a few miles down the mountain in order to call (even then I could only text). I got a hold of the maintenance guy and he said that he could come up and let us in by 7pm. Check in was 2pm. He was hours away in Green Valley. We packed the kids back in the van and went home.
Although the I never made it inside, the property seemed nice. Just be aware that if you rent this cabin you might not ever get inside and you will have wasted a lot of time, energy, and gas money just to turn around and go home.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
