Wonderful cabin in a beautiful location. Many hikes just steps away. Large deck with hummingbirds, a running stream, and quiet beauty.

We had another wonderful stay at Kent Springs, our 5th visit here! We were treated to visits by Turkeys and Acorn Woodpeckers on the deck. The water issues reported by others were resolved; the water truck came while we were there on Dec 26th to refill the tank. We noticed no strange odors in the water and it was clear. There are still mice hanging around the kitchen at night, so very important to keep all food stored securely! The kitchen is well stocked, though could use a few more mugs. We already have another reservation to come back in the summer! The cabin is a joy to stay in, so peaceful with such beautiful surroundings.

Don't drink the water, and don't let your dogs until they post water is safe. It smells foul, my husband and dogs got diarrhea. Can't say 100% it was from the water but don't drink it. PLEASE clean up after yourselves and keep all food locked up. There was a gross amount of mice dropping in the kitchen. I bleached the cabinets between frig/stove. Also put a string of flashing lights in there at night. No new droppings. SO KEEP it clean please. The bedcovers are gross bring your own. In all the years I have been coming there has been mice dropping but never at this level. We rented for five days, so I didn't mind doing extra clean up. I love this place and just broke my heart to see this.

We hiked to the summit of Mt Wrightson and coming back to the cabin afterward was heaven. The cabin is very well appointed, comfy furniture in great shape a large kitchen table that can seat 8, kitchen with everything including a coffee maker. Bring filters and coffee. Oven was in great shape, bathroom was nice too. There are a lot of fun surprises in this cabin trees in the property, giant rocks, etc. the highlight were the wild animals on the back porch. Loads of wild turkeys paying a nightly visit, hummingbirds galore - so bring some sugar to make sugar water. We even had a family of ringtails pop on the porch just after dusk. This cabin is a gem. Can't wait to come back.

This cabin and its location is fantastic! Private road, no traffic and no noise. Birds, wild turkeys, deer and squirrels abound. The cabin is large and airy. Beautiful deck, lower level fire pit. You cannot go wrong reserving this cabin.

Microwave oven didn't work. It MIGHT have a reset method, best determined from an operator manual.

Great time as always, but this time we got to see a Ringtail. It was in the tree from which everyone hangs the hummingbird feeder. It turns out they like the feeder too:)

We enjoyed our stay in the lovely cabin nestled in the junipers and live oaks. The cabin is well equipped but the oven needs a serious cleaning. I was scared to use it especially after reading that a mouse had been inside. All else was clean and left clean.

Super beautiful location, very comfortable, no cell service (Verizon or Tmobile) We had a small hiccup when first arrived turning the heat on and the forest service came out the help us get it going! everything was great, excellent trails passing really close by just behind the house. Highly recommend.

We are grateful to the people who had the cabin prior to our visit; they left it very clean. Everything is well stocked and in good working order. They road is better than in years past. We did not see any mice this time, but we bring sealed plastic containers to store all of our dry goods; that way the mice are not lured into the kitchen. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. We saw turkey, hummingbirds, a myriad of Mexican Jays. We always enjoy our time at Kent Springs.

The Kent Springs Cabin is large enough to sleep 8-10. Our family of 5 had a wonderful time! Plenty of hot water, heat, well-stocked kitchen. The porch is a highlight because it overlooks the creek. The kids played in the creek and along the banks. The living room/kitchen/dining area is spacious and well-lit. We loved the way the original builders incorporated the large rocks into the building itself, both interior and exterior. We'll be back!

A nice patch of open sky to set up a telescope and stargaze. Very dark sky . We had a nice time with Southern Arizona Hiking Club friends at the end of September.

We haven't been here in a while and were reminded of how much we love this place. Many thanks to the previous guest who left it immaculate! The furniture has been updated and much of the dated stuff removed. It looked like it had been recently painted. The fireplace is now boarded up, but really it was an inhouse human smoker; so that probably needed to happen. The roads were grated, still dicey, but substantially better. There are mice inside, so bring traps (NOT POISON) and bins to keep your dry food stored in. One of the futons in back room is broken. There were no glasses- just plastic cups, so someone might want to bring some up and donate. Plenty of coffee cups and a brand-new coffee maker. Watch your step coming and going from room closest to bathroom. Our daughter fell in middle of night (she's ok) because she forgot about the 2-inch drop. Next time we will tie door shut and she can go around. Make sure to pack drinking water, dish soap, sponge, nightlights if you're up a lot, flashlights, matches or lighter, hummingbird nectar/feeder. We brought birdseed from Wild Bird and Jays were steady visitors. Enjoyed seeing deer, coatimundi, ringtail, many turkeys, hummingbirds. We have yet to see the elusive bear everyone else seems to see. This is truly a special place, and we feel so lucky to be able to enjoy it.

Second visit to cabin after many years. The cabin has two rooms with double beds and one room with two double futons (no bunk beds there now). Beds were comfortable. There is a really nice sofa/loveseat/oversize chair set in the living room area - very modern, clean and comfortable. As some reviews have indicated, it was NOT covered in dog hair and was in great shape, however, we took sheets to put over it in case it was. There were no bug issues and the oven was working fine (used to heat up pre-made shepherds pie). Bathroom was clean. Next time I would take a cordless vacuum (the one there is a corded shop vac) - floors were swept but honestly could have used a good mopping (or two, or three) - take your own supplies for that. Walking around barefoot resulted in very dirty feet. We took a couple of fans which came in handy in July although temps were fine. The cabin is awesome and we loved the woodsy vibe by the small creek - saw mule deer and several birds.

This was our 2nd visit to the Kent Spring Cabin and we love it!...wish we could live there:) This time we discovered the nice loop of trails that starts with the nature trail, right outside the front of the cabin (off the drive loop)...it's a nice < 1m little walk, back around to the back of the cabin, if you just go left at every turn.

We have been visiting this cabin for many years. Agreed with dog hair all over furniture so now I bring blankets to toss over furniture and large pillow cases to cover couch pillows. I so appreciate staff that are doing such a great job of maintaining the cabin. Things have really improved over the years. If there is one thing I would request a lighter mob bucket and cleaner mop. I purchased one for cabin years ago. Bucket is gone but mop is still there:). The vacuum really works now. One time it just blew out stuff (ha!ha!). No mice, no bed bugs. Love the new bed thank-you. Okay I recommend mattresses sealed covers. That will keep everything cleaner for guests and prevent bugs. Thank-you once again everyone for helping take care of this wonderful magical place.

Kent Springs is a magical place. Wonderfully quiet, lots of wildlife, a creek for kids to play in, direct access to trails. We found what we needed and the cabin was reasonably clean. Just a lot of dog or cat hair on the furniture from a previous guest who forgot their lint roller.... we had no problem with mice (although I brought a live trap because of previous experiences). We hope to be back many more times.
