Our group had a wonderful weekend. The fire pits and grill had been cleaned and were in great shape. The weeds had been chopped down making it easy to move around. The restroom was in good shape. We have reserved it again in October. Great place for the money.Great job to the forest service who did the work.

We annually have a small RV group outing at this site and enjoy it very much. If you like getting away from the rat race this is a great place to spent some time.

The Group site is designed to be private, however, new wildcat roads behind the Group site allowed persons to enter the area and created the prospect of theft and vandalism. The front gate to the Group site is secured by a combination lock but there is a gate to the rear of the site that is allowing unauthorized access and requires that a combination lock be installed. Unauthorized persons entering the rear of the Group have left the gate open and allowed cattle to come into the Group site. This issue requires immediate attention.

Site was big and spacious. Restrooms were clean. Make sure and call for gate code ahead of time.

The campground is very nice situated in a small valley with some large oaks. It’s gated for security. Close to Peña Blanca Lake. About an hour from Ruby ghost town. 30 minutes to Nogales.
Three down sides:
1. Pit toilets were gross. Someone peed all over the outside of the door and the inside hadn’t been cleaned for awhile.
2. The neighbor’s livestock get through the fence and leave their calling cards everywhere, so bring a shovel.
3. The trash receptacle is a little trailer filled to the brim and it’s very difficult to get your trash in it.
Otherwise a good group site.

We annually come to this group area for an RV outing and enjoy our stay. Plenty of room to park RVs.
