Beautiful park! Sites are large and spaced far apart. Staff was A+. Site 7 is very tight for a 40' class A but we managed. We would choose a different site next time. Would definitely return!

Hosts are excellent. Well managed campground. Electric sites mostly level.

Very nice campground. Camp hosts do a great job and take pride in their campground. Very clean and quiet place to stay. Would definitely stay here again. The entrance of site 7 and 8 need to be widened a few feet. Very tight and high chance of body damage for 40 footers. Saw one class A get into the high spot on 7 creating a few thousand worth of damage.

Despite the tropical weather and the nearby tornado, I really enjoyed being at West Thompson. The volunteer hosts as always were so friendly and helpful. They keep the campground, bathrooms, and sites immaculate. Absolutely love it there.

Small intimate campground. Peaceful and tranquil. Well kept sites and clean bathrooms.

The campground was mostly empty because of covid 19. I love this campground but the 9pm locking of the gate may force me to change my plans for next year. I typically camp alone, and pull a camper from Florida to Connecticut so I can stay near my son in Putnam, CT. This year for the second year in a row the entrance gates closed at 9pm which means I either have to be inside the gates or would have to walk in the dark to my campsite. This early closing severely restricts my visits with my family. I am sincerely hoping that the gate closing time reverts to the 10pm it was for many years or I will have to consider camping somewhere else.
