Awesome campsite, beautiful river bottom land to explore! Not tons of traffic either!

Well-marked campsites. The pit toilet / outhouse was very clean and surprisingly accessible. Extremely convenient location close to the visitor center.

Campground was surprisingly nice, not to open, well kept grounds, big tent pads, loads of privacy, and beautiful.

I stayed at individual campsite one for one night, and then spent the day exploring the park with my dog. There are miles and miles of beautiful trails and the whole park is dog friendly! I highly recommend it’s very accessible and easy for people of all fitness levels, and even though the camping sites are walk in, it is a very short walk from the parking lot very easy to bring your gear in with nice picnic tables fire rings and set up tent pads. Overall a great experience!

Arrived and there was little signage and literally not another soul there. Felt very uncomfortable camping alone with no Rangers anywhere or a camp host or just other campers, ended up camping in the back of my car even though that was against the rules (no one around to enforce anything). Some questionable homes on the outskirts outside the park, anyone could creep into this place. Ladies' bathroom was also totally infested with some kind of bug - couldn't tell if they were mosquitoes or some kind of fly but wasn't trying to find out. Had to drive to the visitors center for a usable bathroom. No water etc. Worst NPS campsite I've yet encountered and don't recommend if traveling solo or needing a bathroom.

Did not camp overnight as planned due to the star night being canceled.

I had the benefit of reading ahead, and knowing the expectations for our stay here. This was one of few sites that we've had to carry our belongings from the car to the site. It was not a tremendous walk (especially since we had Site 001). Our site was conveniently located, had the standard fire ring, picnic table and tent pad. We had plenty of light to get ourselves set up. The vault toilets were back at the parking area, and well stocked/clean.

This was a semi-destination/stopping point for us. We visited the park for a bit the following morning, but only stayed one night on our trip. We had good tree coverage overhead, with a clearing in the center of the loop. Because of the night sky and my camera, I was able to get some great pictures of the stars during the evening.

Were our path to take us in this direction in the future, I'd be glad to stay at this campground again. I was pleasantly surprised by it based on the price. With good skies, there is some good stargazing areas in the center field, and the campground is right in the heart of a preserved section of hardwood trees.

It was a nice camping trip even so it didn't go as planned.
When we arrived at the campsite it was already occupied by another person who claimed that he booked the same campsite. He wasn't able to provide any proof of confirmed booking. I wish there would be some ranger available (on-call) to help mitigate situations like this. In order to not ruin the weekend, we've found another non-booked campsite and used it, even so, it was inconvenient and way farther away from where we'd like to stay.

Overall park is cool: trails are flat and easy to hike, we've met a snake, opossum, and turtle (from safe distance) - kids loved that.

The junior park ranger was very unfriendly.

The camping area was nice, not too far of a walk in from the little parking lot, and the restroom was very clean. Unfortunately it rained the entire time we were in the park so tent camping was not so much fun. But we did enjoy seeing the park.

Campsites large and clean, bathrooms fairly clean. Had a wonderful time, would not go during warm seasons because it is a mosquito breeding ground.
The trails were PACKED on the weekend and most visitors were not wearing masks which was concerning. Trails decently maintained, some were closed due to an out bridge which is common at this park. Visitor center was very nice and had lots of picnic tables.
