Nice campsite we used the visitor center bathrooms which were clean. Short hike to it is from visitor center about .7 of a mile. Longer hike from both the parking lot and the trailhead. Nice big open area. Just us another couple and a solo camper. So very quiet and plenty of personal space. We did get worried when the solo camper said she was grabbing stuff from the car and didn’t come back for about 4 hours once it got dark we looked for a ranger station or someone to call in case something had happened to her and found out there wasn’t any such number to call and ended up dialing 911. We did end up finding her lost on the trail. But feel there should absolutely be a number to call in case of emergency. Other than that great campsite for $5.

Purchased wrong tent site as my car was the tent. No one at visitor center to help. Did not use the walk in trail tent site.

Nice open circular area to tent camp in with trees on each site. Enjoy our visit!

The Bluff campground was great. Easy to get to, even hiking in late on a Friday evening after dark.

I really loved camping at the Bluff Campground. We went Jan 2021, so it was quite chilly but there was plenty of firewood around (albeit it was a bit wet). The stars were definitely out. It was a full campground, so us plus five other parties, most of which were relatively quiet (there was only one group that was quite loud but that's to be expected, I suppose...). My partner and I arrived after dark and we were really happy that the trail was marked so well with reflectors, so that we could use our headlamps and figure out where to go. One mile does feel a bit longer in the dark, where you don't really know where you're going. Bring waterproof hiking boots, for sure! Thanks for a lovely time, Congaree!
