Second visit this year, first time was in #11 at Fathers Day. Roomy sights with plenty of tent space. Which made my visits with friends/family from out of the country, the Oregon coast, across the state, and locals from Spokane and Priest River outstanding. New tables since early Summer! They are amazing solid and was able to play dice games! Yes!!!! Dice games!!!!! Which made my last night both nostalgic and filled with wonderful new memories. Hope we were not to loud for anyone that night. The only thing I could complain about was seasonal Yellow Jackets and how much they still really like Chicken in late summer! The Pend Oreille River is low but beautiful as Always! Oh and the Kalispels really rock with the interpretive historical trail as well. The art was wonderful! Thank you for diggin" the truth and bringin' to light how far back your history goes! It gave a great visual of how life was hundreds and thousands of years ago and how important community and nature were for survival and wellbeing. And yes well before our European invasion. Thank you Kalispel Cultural Department and all the Archaeologist involved, as well as the Artist, Botanist and the incredible translation of the Salish language throughout the entire walk.

Definitely not my favorite place. Just to get into my site i had to jack knife my trailer then there was barley enough room to open my awning. I was lucky though. On the one way only loop there is a spot that you have to go the wrong way to even get into the spot, no matter what you tow. There is a spot that is up a hill and the only level/flat ground is maybe 10 ft long then you have the rest of your camping site on the steep hill. The water is not close really. Very shallow. You can actually walk to almost the middle of the lake and I'm just above 5ft tall. Worst part was it smelled like dead fish.

This is a nice place. Quiet and good for a spring camping trip. A couple days maybe. I say spring because the swimming is not the best. Others are better when it’s hot. No beach really just rocks on the side of the river. There is a boat launch though and we kayaked. Vault roilets were kept really clean and the host was really nice and a joy to work with. The campsites are all different and really secluded from each other for the most part. Gorgeous forest. Nice little educational hiking trail my kid likes. Conveniently Close to town and Newport and priest river are fun towns. I made a turtle friend.

Would have been a very enjoyable experience except the camp host did not enforce quiet hours. Campground was very loud, with yelling, drunk laughter, kids screaming, loud music, until 1:00-2:00 am each night
