Castle Rock, located between Denver and Colorado Springs, is surrounded by incredible camping options. Castlewood Canyon State Park, nearby, offers rugged camping and hiking among scenic canyons. Pike National Forest, to the west, has numerous campgrounds with mountain views, hiking trails, and fishing. Cherry Creek State Park, closer to Denver, provides convenient camping with a reservoir for boating and swimming. Golden Gate Canyon State Park, to the northwest, offers forested camping with beautiful alpine scenery. Chatfield Campground is part of Chatfield State Park in Colorado (just 23 min southwest of Littleton, CO) with an elevation of 5,471 feet. There are a total of 207 campsites. The campground is open all year. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 45 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance.
