Doug, the camp manager, was very nice. Bathrooms were extremely clean. The hiking trails were marked clearly and we definitely enjoyed the trails. Sites were spacious. We will be back for sure!

Excellent campground. The hosts were just great. Very clean and well maintained. There is no service with Verizon, however. You will have to walk or drive to the road.

Dairy Springs was a pleasant surprise! We are familiar to tent camping in most of the campgrounds in Northern Arizona between Payson and Flagstaff areas. This campground was clean, beautiful, and well maintained. Our kids had a great time! The hosts were superb and offered assistance where needed. If you are looking for wifi signal at all times, this may be the only sticking point for you. With AT&T, we had variable bars or LTE service. We wanted to get away from our computers, therefore thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this trip and the phone service aspect did not bother us one bit. The nearby trail heads are walkable and the "Ledges Vista" trail was easy to navigate with breathtaking views of the Mormon Lake area and Valley below. A few miles up the highway, we could go to the Mormon Lake Lodge (General store) if restocking ice, fishing equipment, groceries etc. The camp sites are spacious and restrooms cleaned daily. The group sites also appeared to be popular. We most certainly recommend this quiet area of the forest for its beauty and restful environment. Photos can guide you as to the best sites for fully wooded areas or more open ones. From Phoenix, The Happy Jack way (driving) was fully paved and only 15 min out of the way from the dirt road entry point area. We hope to be back next year. Enjoy!!

Literally the worst camp host we have ever had. Total power control person who follows rules when its convenient for him or he feels safe bossing around certain campers. We got there on a Thursday night and there were just a few campers, but none around us. At 5:50PM he tells us to turn our music down. Quite time is 10PM. We don't blast our music, but since our site was next to his I guess our country music was too much. On Friday the campsite filled up and a rowdy family came in across from him who were shooting bow and arrows, throwing axes, shooting a BB gun and chopping down live trees (oh and the nightly 6 foot bonfires) were never spoken to. He was actually sitting on his picnic table with his back to them while this was going on. The from midnight to about 3am on both Friday and Saturday nights there was a large group who was seriously partying. Nothing. The bathrooms were cleaned whenever and not at the stated times, but only one side near us and not the other. This guy should never be a host. He never checks in on people, he just runs it like a prison camp and we are the prisoners. Worst experience we've had all summer and we were at a lot of sites. Just having a friendly/caring disposition would have gone a long way. Never said good morning or hello and his site was right next to ours, so he passed by us constantly. I was told by other campers that he wasn't there last year, so hopefully he won't be there next year.

Clean campground with a helpful host. Personally, I wouldnt book campsites #4 or #5 next time. The campsites more to the west (#16+) were nicer.
