The showers and associated bathrooms are currently closed. Only the vaulted bathrooms are open. It appeared they have been closed for awhile but the website has not been updated to warn you beforehand. If you're looking to go now, bring your own Heater and stove as the fire pits and grilles are off limits during dry season. Other than that the site is great. Beautiful. Relatively clean. Great hikes.

Very nice campsite. Enjoyed the hike up to the Palomar Observatory. Very nice and clean campsite.

No one was working at the campground. Only one bathroom location was open 5 min walk away. Toilet paper ran out by Saturday night. Sites are overgrown with weeds. Is this really how we want taxpayer money to be spent? Let alone reservation fees. No notification about bathroom closures in advance. Not able to request a refund through the online system (their instructions were wrong as well), needed to email them directly.
