It was very noisy in the evenings, I wish guests had been reminded to be quiet or maybe we should have known that a full campground on a weekend in August would be loud. Someone had a microphone and karaoke and around 11:00pm some campers came in and talked so much we woke up and had to ask them to be quiet. Might not camp there again unless we come mid-week. Thanks.

The flash toilet and shower are not properly maintained.

Out of date information cause issues. Site lists campfire in rings but there was not campfires all. Most of the park was closed, no showers, trail closed, no camp host, no ranger, and no water. Again None of this was on the campsite information or on Recreation.gov

Most of the people did not even stay the night most sites had reservations but no campers. The only people that were there seemed to be long term residences. The site said the entire camp site was fully booked and that we could not get our previous site, but when we got there there was not reservation plaque and the site was completely unused.

It will be unlikely that we return.

Campground is lovely. The showers and flush toilet bathrooms were closed, though the outhouse type bathrooms were open. There was no camp host. There should have been a notice when reservations were made that the showers and flush toilets would not be available.

Very clean and well maintained campsite. Quiet and well spaced out campsites. Observatory was closed, however, there was still plenty of hiking and exploring to do in and around the creek area. Bring your own firewood as the only General store in the area often runs out. Had an excellent time here in mid April. Temperature was nice during the day, a little chilly at night. We would definitely book here again.

I reserved #28 and i’d have to tell everyone to not reserve this site!! It’s the worst one in the entire campground (in my opinion) it’s right in the middle of the campsites on that side and there’s no trees + you’re right next to the bathroom. which pretty much means zero privacy . But the check in attendant was so nice and helpful, he let us switch to #29 which was so cute and very private with trees all around. The overall atmosphere was nice and relaxed, not too many bugs - just a few gnats & mosquitos but weirdly only around 12-2pm . There was firewood available to buy at the campsite and about 10 min south from the campsite (turn left @ campsite exit) there’s a small store for you to go to in case you forgot to bring anything ! also, be careful of rocks ! the roads are narrow and a lot of rocks fall down so just drive at a decent safe speed. :)
