Beware, Recreation .gov doesnt have a system that allows you to access or modify a current reservation without forfeiting a substantial amount of your reservation fees. I was able to contact rec.gov by phone and they were unable to correct a modified reservation ( adding one day was a separate reservation) and they cancelled my original 3 day reservation. Bottom line is if you use their rec.gov web site make sure you dont make any changes. When I got to the campground I was advised that it is best to use the FF system( first come first served)and save the extra fee that rec.gov charges.

Remember to bring quarters for the showers and cash for firewood! For an offline map of the campground, I recommend using Organic Maps.

I love this campsite. I keep returning and bringing "newbies" with me. My only complaint is the non-enforcement of the posted hours of use for generators. Last year the campsite next to me had their generator going throughout the night and we were located near a camp host. This year, the repeat offenders started their generator at 5:45am and again, we were all next to the camp host. I'm not sure I'll be returning in the future. Again, I love the location, and the facility. It's just not a peaceful experience that I hoped to share with others.

Burnt Rancheria is absolutely our favorite local campground, its up at 6000ft soy really get the sounds and smells of the mountains, we are lucky enough to go up on Sun- Wed so we get real getaway since the campground is a t about 20%.The sites(most) feel very secluded with lots of privacy! And being 1 Hour from our house in San Diego you cant beat it!!!!!

Beautiful spot, great campfire ring, perfect for my 93 year old mom. The concrete made it where I could relax and not worry about her tripping on uneven terrain.

Nice facility. Close to the Laguna Mountain Lodge. Easy access to the PCT.

Not a lot of people on cold nights. Hosts are helpful and conscientious about wearing masks.
