We appreciated the clean campsite and clean restrooms. For the most part the campground was quiet and pleasant - thank you!

Campground hosts were accommodating and always available to answer questions. The campground is older, but very well-kept, peaceful.

I stay here for a week over the 4th of July every year, and I have to say the hosts are by far the most attentive and hard working I've seen in Alaska (and I stay at a LOT of campgrounds). The campsite was freshly cleaned when I arrived (even the gravel was raked). The host greeted me before I even fully had my site setup, asked where I was from and what sort of activities I had planned. When she saw I had a bike she let me know a local place to pick up some trail maps. I saw them constantly out working around the grounds.

Just A+ hospitality and customer service.

The campground is also located in a great spot, right between a river and stream. The camp sites on the side I stayed has trails right down to the water. Unfortunately, if the spaces on either side of you are open that means people use those sites as public access to the water and tend to walk right past you through the woods all day (you could be behind a tarp changing, thinking you are protected from view, when a whole group of 10-year olds march past). If you are eager for privacy this might be a concern as they look right at you as they walk by. If you are also concerned about noise I can say there were multiple days of kids yelling and playing in the woods right behind my tent.

But I consider the noise part of staying at a family friendly public campground, so it really doesn't bother me. Much better than the summer of 2020 when all I heard was heavy construction sounds from the large road project happening in the mountains.

And for those who care, I had strong enough cell signal the entire stay that I actually was able to stream a movie one rainy night when it was too cold and gloomy to do anything else.

All in all I am quite happy with this campground. I plan to keep staying hear for my yearly holiday visit.

Campground is clean and well managed. Julie and John are excellent hosts. They take very good care of the campground and are very gracious to the campers.

Julie and John are great. This is a little hidden gem of a place to camp. Relax and just unwind
