This is a beautiful campground in a wonderful location. The sites have good sized tent pads that are level and well maintained. Past the campground there are great hiking trails and overlooks. Prior to the campground is the historic ranch with interpretive signs. The campground is quite a bit cooler than the surrounding area, so be prepared for a chilly night. Only negative comment is the limited bathroom facility compared to the number of people staying here. Maybe add a few port-o-lets for the busy times?

Nice little campground with easy access to hikes. Bonus is the heated bathrooms in the wintertime. There is an area for dumping grey water too.

Beautiful area with nice trails that connect directly to the campground. Very peaceful and quiet. Good camp host and very clean bathrooms.

This is a lovely area and I thought the campground was excellent. There is a nice trail just off the campground as well. The visitor center is excellent. The people there were very helpful in providing information and the store they have is very nice. They have Wifi which is important since there may not be much in the way of cell service. Note, the area is pretty isolated, so bring your own food with you and supplies. Be sure your gas tank has enough gas to get there and back out again. The scenery and pull outs are great. Well kept up.

Great site! Very well maintained, and loved the Sky Islands presentation from one of the rangers

This is a lovely campground and it felt like everyone camping was very polite.--no raucous parties or late-night noise, even on a holiday weekend. The space was designed well and the bathrooms with regular flush toilets were welcome! Wildlife walks through the campground and the bird watching is top tier. That said, late May/early June was already too late in the year. It was 90 degrees in the shade at the height of the day and there's no open water like a creek or lake to cool off. (There are conveniently placed water spigots and every site has a bear box). There was a load of flies, which wasn't related to trash, maybe just because of the amount of rain over the winter? Overall, I can't wait to visit again but it will be a late fall or winter camping trip.

Highly recommended - beautiful campground, well kept facilities and lots of hiking and biking options. The road to Masai Point is spectacular.

My husband and I loved our camping spot and loved the entire area! We saw so many different kinds of wildlife over the two days we were there. Hawks, deer, turkeys, owls, and a skunk on the last day and on our way out of the park. It is such a great place to enjoy our beautiful Earth and all that she has to offer. The city is not too far away in case you forget anything from the grocery store (which we did); the drive to and back alone was where we saw all the owls at night along the road. Such a magical place.

It was ok. The parking slip was very small but other than that I dont have any complaints. I do have to admit that I enjoyed seeing a lot of wildlife. Additionally, the heated restrooms were nice considering the temperature was in the low 20s.

Very lovely. Just note there are no fire pits, fires in the grill only

This is a beautiful, small campground located in a valley in the middle of Majestic Mountains. There were deer right beside me every morning, within like 5 feet. The roads were beautiful, great hiking, the lookouts were breathtaking this is definitely a place you want to visit. The only thing that I didn’t care for was the fact that my dog was not allowed on some of the hiking trails. Other than that this place is well worth the drive off the interstate.

Great campsite! The hiking trail to the Visitor Center and Faraway House is awesome. Beautiful place.

We absolutely love this small campground for many reasons. One of our top reasons is that few big RVs use it, so no generator noise, etc. RVers tend to stay in their vehicles and not socialize as much as tenters/conversion van dwellers do. We are preparing our meals outside and/or sitting by a fire which makes us more approachable. Another reason we like this campground so much is that the campsites are large. We had site 20, which is large and very private. Add to that flush toilets, water sources everywhere and you have a delightful experience.

Coti came through the campsite in the morning. Very interesting.

A great experience! Information obtained from the Visitors' Center (over the phone) was accurate and very helpful. The campground host, "Kat", was very professional, efficient, and welcoming. We enjoyed the drive to Massai Point and walking around that area. This is a "must see" for anyone visiting the monument! We also hiked/walked along the Silver Spur Meadow Trail and looked around the old CCC camp. We skipped Faraway Ranch, having spent a few hours there previously (another "must see") . Although the museum portion of the Visitor'sCenter was closed due to COVID, the Ranger on duty and the volunteer were extremely helpful and friendly, This was our second visit to the monument; we'll be back . . .

Camp ground was clean and excellent spot. Restrooms top notch and so clean. NPS staff very friendly as they made their rounds every morning. Spent time in the visitor center with friendly staff. Camp host wasn’t friendly. Trail heads well marked and had great information. Did see signs of all wildlife including recent passage of a large cat.

Beautiful area. The hikes to get closer to the hoodoos are lovely. The campground is well maintained and was very quiet and calm. The campsites are pretty close together though.
