Nice, quiet, shady campground. While theres only one bathroom, it has flush toilets and sinks. Stayed 2 nights. One of the hosts was EXTREMELY helpful getting us parked.

I fell in love with Chiracahua and stayed an extra day. The hiking was amazing. The views were spectacular. Everything was perfect. And I loved having no reception and being isolated from the outside world for three entire days this place has become one of my favorite parks!

Nice area in a beautiful National Monument. There were clean bathrooms but no shower. Sites had picnic tables and fire pits but no fires were allowed while we were there. There is water available and a grey water station.

Camping in Bonita Canyon was awesome! The camp itself is a small one, but the surrounding nature is just beautiful. We got a campsite near the restrooms, and although the restrooms are being renovated, they still have port-a-potties there to use instead. Our campsite had a grill, a picnic table, and a flat squared off area for where tents are supposed to go. The campsite was clean and comfortable for our overnight stay. When we got to the canyon, we stopped at the visitors center to check-in and to get a map of the hikes in the area. After finding the campsite, we then decided to do the echo loop trail. Wow, what an awesome trail! We then went back to camp for a little breather. After that, we went up to Massai point and watched the sunset. It was so beautiful! It was definitely a fun time and we would absolutely go back!

Bonita is a very peaceful and clean place to camp.

The campground was beautiful! It was very well maintained. But the reason I didn't rate it the highest, was during our time there, the restrooms were under construction and portable toilets and sinks were what we had to use. I understand that construction needs to happen, and often there is no good time and people will be impacted. But I didn't get notice of this till the day I arrived. Notice would have been really helpful if I got it way more in advance. So this is not a criticism of the amazing campground. I am writing this to those that send out notifications to campers. Thank you, we will be back if we are ever down that way again!

Another wonderful visit to my favorite park in AZ, Chiricahua MM. Plan at least 2 nights in order to see more the park. We took the shuttle up to Massai Point and hiked back to the visitor center. We hiked Echo Canyon Loop and the late afternoon lighting was amazing in the Grotto - brought out the colors and shadows. We looked at the night sky from the road - unbelievable number of stars and even saw the Milky Way. Walked around Far Away Ranch and through the area where the CCC lived while building the trails in the Park. Very nice Visitor Center with staff who all knew everything there is to know about the Park!! The only down side is we did not get to see the Coatimundi 'squadron' and the 4 mo old kittens. We did see lots of birds, many from our campsite. Thanks for another great visit.

Love this campground but so many sites closed. Also the bathroom is so far from the group site which is hard with small kids who suddenly have to go.

This is a fantastic place with unique geology - well worth the trip out. I recommend both the Echo Canyon loop and the out-and-back to Heart of Rocks. We did the shorter Echo loop on the afternoon we arrived (2hrs) and the Heart of Rocks the next morning (4hrs). You can link both together but if you have time, splitting them up will leave you with more time and energy to explore the rocks and grottos. The campground itself is comfortable and well shaded but nothing special. Come for the hiking!

Great Monument, campsites too small and crowded.

The campground was quiet, clean, and well maintained. There are heated restrooms with flush toilets, numerous potable water taps, and a couple of gray water dump stations. The campground hosts do a great job of maintaining the place, and were especially helpful in sorting out a mixup regarding my site reservation. The park is amazing and I would definitely recommend this campground to anyone planning to visit southeastern Arizona.

I made reservations in advance at campground so no worries about where to camp. We stopped at the Visitor Center and got updates on road and trail conditions as a big snowstorm had hit days before. Personnel are friendly and helpful. A Ranger outside gave us good information about trails and recent animal sightings. Also signed up for shuttle bus next day in case roads were too icy for my van. Worked out well and we hiked from Echo Canyon Parking Lot down to the Visitor Center, about a 5 mile hike. Trails in pretty good condition considering the storm. We attended 2 ranger talks and both were great. Another fabulous visit at CNM.

One of our very favorite campgrounds. Like the isolation of Chiricahua. Less than a hundred people can stay there overnight, all camping. Wilcox, the nearest town, is 70 miles away.Great camp host makes you feel at home.Took some wonderful, familiar hikes, as it was our fifth Thanksgiving there.
