Spots are little tight. Definitely i wouldn't take over a 19ft trailer. We loved the campground .Lots of shade. Reserved clean and flush toilets. Hosts were very informative.

Rangers were quite helpful at this national monument gem!Wonderful hikes, wildlife, twilights and night skies!

Great campground inside the Monument. Sites are small and a challenge for larger or longer vehicles. There is no dump site, tank fill, electric hookups or shower facilities so plan ahead.

The camp hosts were fantastic! The visitors center is awesome! Only issues we had was low branches in the campground and on road in.

Such a nice campground and limited to 25 spots. Though it could use another bathroom, the one and only was hardly full nor have a line. Nice trails and the Chiricahua National Monument are next to you. We got some rain but no biggie.....Lots of birds....Balanced Rocks and the history of the place were awesome.......Spot 8 is ADA and most spots have electric hook-up ONLY for Medical Devices....We'll be back....

Scenic campground. Well maintained with plenty of trees. Flush toilets and running water is the bathroom sinks an added bonus.

Pleasant campground in a beautiful park. This is the 2nd time I've camped here, and both times have been very enjoyable. While the sites have few amenities, they were generously spaced for each site to have relative privacy. The restrooms were clean & warm. I took advantage of the access to the nearby Bonita Creek Trail to enjoy an easy late afternoon hike down to the Faraway Ranch area and back.

Very nice campground and friendly host. The posts concerning camper size are important, as the trees and rocks determine that most campers over 25 will be challenged.

Gorgeous campground nestled along a creek within a diverse forest of conifer, live oak and cottonwood and other deciduous trees. A relatively busy place so its best to make reservations especially for a prolonged stay. Campsites are somewhat close to each other so be prepared to be cozy with your neighbors. Gregarious and friendly camp host. Bird life is profuse and fun to watch. Lots of jays and woodpeckers. Beware the jays for they are skilled scavengers and see your food as an opportunity. Great surroundings for hikers, birders and all outdoor enthusiasts. The geology is stunning to see. I attended a Park Service lecture and found out the unseen geology is also dynamic. My winter visit was fairly warm but keep in mind that I live in a very cold climate. Some may find the temperatures to be cold if they are from a warm climate. I am looking forward to visiting again.

Chiricahua National Monument is beautiful and is a wonderful oasis here in Southern Arizona. The campground was clean and well-maintained.Unfortunately, we had a disturbing encounter with Delores, one of the Campground Hosts when we stayed there October 29-30, 2023. We had reserved a campsite for two nights via Recreation.gov. A Campground Host, Delores, stopped by our site and told us that she had contacted law enforcement because we were stealing electricity. She said that we would probably be arrested and taken to jail in Tucson (about 120 miles away). She also said that our account would be flagged and we would be prevented from reserving sites in National Park Service locations in the future. I am not making this up.Delores was very rude and threatening to us. In the end, of course nobody from law enforcement showed up and our account has not been blocked. But, we left the next morning anyway because we just did not feel welcome. We have camped at hundreds of locations over the years and never encountered anything like this. Very disappointing.

I have been to Bonita Canyon Campground a few times and those times were amazing. Not this visit. We had space number 8. When we arrived we stopped at the visitor Center and they said the water was going to be shut off the next day due to some leak! But, when we got to our campsite there was a gentleman shutting the water off and locking the bathrooms. The worse part was they had placed 2 stinking porta potties basically in our campsite! It stunk. You could smell sewage that leaked out from underneath. Horrible experience and a waste of money we left.

Beautiful, quiet campground nestled within a riparian forest at the base of the standing rocks. If your rig is more than 24 feet, you may want to find a space elsewhere. I have a 28 foot Class A and I just barely squeezed in and my rig scraped the concrete creek crossing (it was dry). No hookups. Mr. Lippard, one of the NPS personnel, was VERY helpful!

It's fairly shocking and very disappointing that people at a public campground could be so rude to their fellow campers. I'm talking about noise and I'm talking about light pollution. Bonita Campground and Chiricahua National Monument are famous for their dark skies, and yet many people camping there might as well be at their home. Saturday night was ridiculous. Sunday night was far more pleasant. I think Recreation.gov needs to remind people about camping etiquette. And then, remind them again and again. Thanks. Rob Dickson and Cathie Robert, Albuquerque NM

We come to Bonita twice yearly to enjoy the quiet, the sky, and hikes, the hoodoos and the animals. The staff has always be the best. There are flush toilets!
