This is a beautiful campground with great amenities and most of the sites are nicely shaded. The tree canopy proved a bit of an issue in the winter camping we did because it made it a challenge to charge with our solar panels. But, I imagine that the shade in the summer is needed to combat the heat. The campground offers easy access to trails and the scenic drive to the Masai Point lookout. The rock formations are other-worldly and a must-see for anyone passing through.

Excellent campground and park experience, quality staff at visitor center and campground. I did have to leave early as I had continuing internet business to attend to. There is NO CELL Service at the campground that I could find. Outstanding views and trails.

Great place to camp or RV. Lots of wildlife and hiking a few minutes away. Love the visitor center, very helpful staff. WiFi available at the visitor center.

Bonita Canyon is a lovely campground. We had a clean functional bathroom and potable water right by our campsite. The sites are lovely and shady. I would stay here again without hesitation!

Absolutely beautiful! The campground was scenic and cozy. We stayed 2 nights and would love to come back again. The hiking had a magical feel about it!

This national monument is stunning, peaceful, biodiverse, well maintained, well appointed, and a real pleasure to visit. The small campground is well laid out, clean and has heated bathrooms and flush toilets. The remote location and small campground keep the park uncrowded. Great place to relax and commune with nature.

Very nice, well taken care of campground with a hike right out of the campground. Some great hikes in the National Monument. Definitely worth a visit.

Clean campground with bathrooms and water. Picnic tables and grills on each site. Make sure you go the the top of the mountain to enjoy the sunrise, sunset and the stars. Highly recommend!

Campground feels more natural than some -- ungroomed, in a good way. Not that it was not maintained, but it didn't feel like Disneyland, it felt like we were in the forest, with neighbors. Ground fire ban meant "campfire" in the grill, which was awkward and did not lend the traditional campfire experience. Our site was well sized; there is a LOT of difference in sizing, be sure to check the info online to make sure the site you choose will accommodate how you plan to use it. Hosts Cheryl and Tim were very visible, keeping a good eye on the campground.

Wonderful time. Absolutely no complaints. Our family had a great time. Park service/rangers were so helpful and nice. Couldn’t have asked for better conditions

Nice quiet campground. Spectacular scenery on the trails up top. Good location for doing night photography like the Milky Way.

Friendly and helpful NPS staff. Super quiet campground. Walking access to most of the major hiking trails and visitors center. Shade and water close by. For RVers it's a easy place to boondock for a few days, especially if you have solar. The hiking trails at the National Monument are tops.
