Bonita Canyon Campground is a very nice campground for tents to 24 ft RV's with no hookup's. The host Lee did a great job and was very friendly and helpful. I camped 2 nights and did 4 hikes.... Heart of Rocks Loop from the Visitor Center the first afternoon, the Massai Nature Trail and the Grottoes the 2nd day and the Natural Bridge Trail Hike the last morning. Chiricahua National Monument is a hidden treasure that everyone should visit and enjoy... it's a magical place! There is no cell coverage in most of the park. There was 1 bar signal at Sugarloaf Parking area, good enough for texts.There is WiFi at the Visitor Center, so I was able to stay in touch with friends and family using WhatsApp over WiFi.

Excellent campgrounds. Didn't see a bad spot while walking around. Clean, well maintained and the bathrooms are heated (was chilly in the mornings). Appreciated the dog friendly trails by the campground and Faraway Ranch. Massi Point, Echo Canyon and Sugarloaf have excellent views from parking lots if you are not a hiker. Go early because the parking lots are small and they fill up fast. Staff at Visitors Center were very helpful and friendly. Have visited the Monument twice (both in the winter) and plan on making it a yearly camping destination.

A very pretty and private camp ground. Seeing the Coatis was a big bonus as they came right into our camp site. Most sites have great tree cover. Bathrooms are small but passable - 2 toilets and 1 sink in each side. Not much else room to maneuver in them, though. Camping spaces can be tight so choose carefully. Easy to walk to a number of trails from the CG, as well as a relatively quick drive to the hiking trails up top. No mobile service to speak of in the CG itself, though. A real plus would be if they could add at least electric to the sites, but given the state of the current administration's desire to slash costs everywhere, including the chronically underfunded national park service, don't expect anything being added anytime soon.

Nice forested campground with bathrooms, although no shower. Take note of the size of your site as they differ and some are too small for a trailer or RV. Quiet, other than the flock of turkeys in the morning.

Quite, small campground. Nice sites. Bathroom way too small though!

This was our first stop on a three week cross country road trip and it's still one of my favorite campgrounds. Southern Arizona and it's summer. But in the canyons, among the trees, it was really a beautiful, serene place. Our campsite was located along a dry creek bed. It's a large site with lots of room to stretch out. Keep an eye on the weather. We had two monsoon-type storms in two days.

Tight campsites and too much shade for solar to work properly. Nice location for access to great hiking.

A small but beautiful campground in the bend of a creek within a gorgeous piece of the earth. If you dont have time to take a hike, at the very least drive to the top of the mountain for the views.

Great campground. Beautiful, spacious sites. Access to water good. Conscientious waste water disposal appreciated Best for smaller campers/pop-ups. Restrooms adequate, but cramped entry.

Wonderful campground and beautiful National monument. We saw a band of over 30 Coati in the morning, which was such a treat! Highly recommend this camp ground and we look forward to returning.

This campground is kept immaculate. The bathrooms are lit up and warm at night and really clean. You can access a small lake /pond to swim or float about in nearby.

This is a beautiful campground with spacious sites, lots of greenery, lots of wildlife, and well kept facilities. It is well-run and we’ll maintained. We are looking forward to going back soon!

Fantastic place. Campsite was perfect. Two women's toilet stalls and one sink for the entire campground is ridiculous, however. Even with the RV's having their own facilities, that isn't nearly enough.
@CindyH1403151 · Camped on Apr 2, 2023 at Campsite #4
Dry camping sites nicely spaced with trees around each site. Site 4 was a back-in with dry stream bed behind the site. A good easy trail from cg to a meadow for bird watching and two historic farms. Chiricahua NM gets 10 stars! Astounding mountains and rock formations with a shuttle each morning to the top giving downhill access to several trails. Water available to fill containers but check on RV dump facilities before reserving.

The area is beautiful, and the campground was perfect. Clean, quiet, accessible and the hosts were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Can't wait to return.

It was the most quiet, clean campground I have been to.
@RobertS545 · Camped on Oct 31, 2021 at Campsite #4
Bonita Campgroup was really nice and the campground hosts most helpful. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I got a flat tire.
@RichardD597 · Camped on Oct 20, 2021 at Campsite #4
Wish it was as simple as reserving number of nights. Check out date isn’t necessarily confusing, but I tend to reserve one less day than intended if I haven’t used the site in a long time.

Like the photos of sites and descriptions.
@PaulM390 · Camped on Oct 6, 2021 at Campsite #4
Campground was clean and quiet.

Animals cruised through the first morning, giving me a couple of "life" time animals having seen for the first time.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

Beautiful campground right at the foot of the rock formations.
