When I first arrived I thought i'd hate the place. It's small, the drive up to it is a pain, and there were a lot of loud obnoxious people in the adjoining day use area. But over my stay the noise of day use was replaced by something you don't see often, which was almost 100% TENT campers, instead of the RV crowd. Happy people everywhere doing however they do their camps. That's kind of unique these days. Ultimately the only drawback was that there's a very small bathroom, with one side for a single male and the other for a single female. As the place grew really packed bathroom access became almost competitive. Worse, the last morning I was there the water went out across the whole place, both bathroom and water spigot alike. Fortunately I packed up camp and got out of there so I didn't have to deal with what likely became a sanitation nightmare. I'll pack a shovel next time just in case... BUT plumbing aside, the place has charm, and you really don't see that kind of tent camper density at most places.

Wonderful little campground. All of the camp sites except for 15 and 14 are rather close to each other. Great hiking and fishing nearby. Dale, the host, was welcoming and helpful with tips about the area. Bathrooms were clean and trash cans emptied regularly. If you like a rustic camping experience, away from the hustle and bustle, this is lovely.

We have been to Dennis Cove in the past and had a good experience. However, our recent visit was a disappointment. The campground was not as clean as our previous visit, the bathroom smelled bad and had an empty soap container the entire weekend, and, most troubling, the campground host played loud music and laughed and talked loudly until early in the morning, with their guests driving out of the campground at 2 or 3 am. Last year there was a different host, and we can tell that things have gone downhill with the new management. What a shame. It is a beautiful and special place.

A perfect camping experience. The host was extremely nice and welcoming, as were the other guests. So many great hikes nearby. Very family friendly.
