This was our first time in IBRA. We have camped in the Smoky Mountains for many many years, and really enjoyed our stay here. To be honest, our primary reason to try this was because there were electrical hookups and hot showers, unlike any of the National Park campgrounds. We were very pleased with the campsites and made a list of our favorites for future reservations, as we will definitely be coming back. It was much better walking around to rate sites than it is to judge by pictures on the Rec.gov app. The bathrooms were kept clean and serviceable, and the General Store had generally everything you needed, which was good because it's a rather long drive to the nearest town. It's also nice that the gates are locked at night to keep out errant traffic. As we enjoy hiking, the lake trail and nearby Wilderness Areas offered many wonderful choices. All in all, it was a most pleasant experience.

Indian Boundary is a great place to family camp - the setting is beautiful, traffic in the campground is safe for everyone (especially small children on bikes or scooters), and everyone is friendly. All of the bath facilities are kept clean and the General Store is a great place to visit for both young and old - the children really love the "sweet treats" that are available in the store. Riding bikes on the campground loops is also a lot of fun for everyone. It's great that a campsite can be reserved in advance and the cost is reasonable.

Its a beautiful campground. The last couple of years the camp hosts in C section are not our favorite. They seem to be babysitting and have kids toys and play stuff all around the hosts campsite. Babysitting shouldnt be allowed.

Very clean and we'll maintained. The only downfall to this place is that it needs to open a little earlier in the year and stay open later.

We love camping at Indian Boundary. It is a beautiful setting, great campsites, and generally friendly camp hosts. We did have a negative experience during our July stay, however. The day before we were to leave I hooked up my tow dolly to the hitch on my motorhome. The wheels were just outside the timber barriers of the campsite, but I had stored the dolly just outside the timbers all during our stay. We were sitting on our site when a sheriff's deputy pulled up along with a park ranger. They proceeded to treat me somewhat like a criminal as they advised me that I could not have anything stored outside of the timber barriers on my campsite. I advised that I had just hooked up the dolly as we were preparing to leave fairly early the next morning. During the days of our stay the camp host had not said anything to us about the tow dolly being stored just outside the timbers. I told them I would unhook it and store it on the site, and did so. After they left we rode through the campground and noted numerous sites with bikes, kayaks, and various outer items stored outside the timber barriers of the campsites. Very disappointed that they used this approach to advise us of the issue instead of just the camp host or just the park ranger stopping by and advising us of the issue.
